This was useful. It was painful but useful. My wife couldn't be happier says" im a new man"said im unik or unique or something like that.

Very sturdy, hefty size, for me it took 2 hands to clamp, so you'll need a 2nd person helping you (maybe a 3rd person if the goat is over 3 months old). Disclaimer, I ended up with a failure using this burdizzo but that was my error not the device's. I didn't hold it in place long enough and I waited until the boys were full grown to do it. If you burdizzo at 3 months you won't get any failures.I think the Burdizzo is a much better device than banding. The goats bounced back and seemed to have much less discomfort than with banding which causes days of pain and can get infected.The Burdizzo is a one and done sort of thing. Remember to keep the clamp in place for a good long time (MORE than 15 seconds... this was my mistake).

Item was easy to handle and affordable

Purchased this to use on goats as the ones used from the side were out of stock and these were much cheaper. This seems to be built well and would last for years if properly maintained.I had good success using these, however, I would much rather have the side ones. These are quite a bit cheaper if you financially challenged.

Two bucklings successfully wethered, and no recovery time or worry of infection. Perfect!Only note is that I couldn’t use it myself because my hands aren’t big/strong enough. Had they been bigger or had they been stronger I could’ve done it myself (I hand-milk goats so my hands are pretty strong), but it was very cumbersome for me to hold the spermatic cord and the castrator at the same time. So my husband had to use it instead of me.

Didn’t work. Just made my poor goat pass out from the pain but he was still able to reproduce

All parents with daughters of teenage girls should have these handy for dinner conversations. Aside from that my cows don't really like them. I have banded for years as well as standard castration. I like these best of all.

I’m not in the position to engage with this but if you know what it is, my husband does, it accomplishes what the task in a safe and sanitized manner! That is important!!!!
