Class leading product but watch out for the subscription cost!
Norton AntiVirus is a standout product in the realm of cybersecurity, offering a robust and comprehensive defense against a myriad of online threats. Renowned for its reliability and effectiveness, Norton AntiVirus has solidified its position as a go-to choice for most home users for both computers and mobile devices seeking top-notch protection for their digital assets. One of the most striking features of Norton AntiVirus is its user-friendly interface. From the moment you install the software, it is evident that user experience is a top priority. The dashboard is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, making it accessible even for those who are not particularly tech-savvy. Important features and functions are clearly labeled and easily accessible, allowing users to quickly run scans, update their software, and manage settings with minimal effort. This streamlined interface ensures that protecting your computer from viruses, malware, and other online threats is a hassle-free experience. Norton AntiVirus excels in providing comprehensive protection. It offers real-time threat detection, robust firewall protection, and advanced phishing protection, all of which work together seamlessly to safeguard your system. The software also includes additional features like a password manager, secure VPN, and parental controls, adding significant value to the overall package. Regular updates ensure that your protection is always up-to-date, addressing new and emerging threats as they arise. However, it is important to note that while the initial purchase price of Norton AntiVirus may be quite reasonable, the renewal cost after one year can be significantly higher. For many users, this renewal fee can feel astronomically expensive. It is crucial for users to be aware of this potential cost and to plan accordingly. Norton typically auto-renews subscriptions, so if you decide not to continue with their services, it is essential to cancel your subscription before the renewal date to avoid unexpected charges.

I 100% recommend this product.
So after doing some research I decided to go with Norton AntiVirus software and bought it from Amazon because it was cheaper and I was getting 3 months extra totalling 15 months. Now I know the price has gone up but I got it when it was at £17.99. Then when I installed it all I got a free upgrade for the remainder of my subscription, and later that day I got another free upgrade for the remainder of my subscription. So I am now on the highest subscription level which is supposed to be £149.99 for 12 months and I got it for £17.99 for 15 months. I also get 300GB of cloud storage. I will set a calendar reminder to cancel the Auto-renew in December 2026 as I have to keep the auto-renew active to get some of the extra benefits, but this is an absolute bargain. I will definitley be keeping an eye out for deals and getting it off amazon again. I've read that Norton is not as user friendly as other anti virus software but once you have a look around the software, it is easy to understand and navigate. I 100% recommend this product, especially if you get upgraded for free and get it at half the price.

Great Antivirus With Excessive Marketing
Great antivirus software with plenty of features, but the constant popups and pestering with offers for other Norton products is exhausting. Every Smart Scan inevitably ends with the typical "Your computer has issues!" message and being directed towards purchasing some other optimisation tool.

Good deal
Good deal buying it here rather than through Norton website. Was provided with clear instructions on how to download and install thr product. I received the product keycode almost instantly.

Good price
I have been using Norton security software for a while now and find it very effective. It does what is says on the box and does a good job of it. This is a license, so it doesn't have the software included. But its easy to download the software and use the provided product key to license the downloaded software. It save getting the DVD software and having to store that somewhere, when it will only be thrown away at some point and fill up the landfills. You are also paying less for the license, so it a win win situation. Now for the bad points. I know this is a license, but it is a license for the software. The software in general is great, and I have been using it for a while, but you do get nagged a bit by ads to upgrade the software or buy addons. I find this completely annoying and have complained about it. At the end of a smart scan it tells you about other issues and gives you a button to View the Solution. This is what annoys me, you click the button and all it is, is an ad to give you the opportunity to buy the upgrade to sort the problem out. I think this is outrageous. Even though I am ranting about this, I have still award 5 stars to this license/software because I am finding it very good.

Aggressive advertising and high renewal costs
So compared to the early 2000's when Norton Antivirus was such a system hog it made all but the most powerful computers grind to a halt, Symantec does appear to have turned this around with Norton 360. Initially I was impressed with the relatively low overhead and features, also in the knowledge that Norton 360 consistently scores highly with most AV tests. However, there is definitely some questionable business practices going on which has ultimately forced me to uninstall the software and look elsewhere: - For starters you need to register a Credit Card to install the product, at which point auto-renewal is automatically activated. Make sure you cancel this straightaway because even though you might buy your Norton 360 Premium for 5 devices for about £20, the autorenewal will set you back the best part of £100 for a year. Cancellation of auto renewal was also trickier than expected with constant attempts to sway me to stay by offering an extra 90 days protection. - I soon became very bothered with the amount of ads and popups from Norton 360 itself, trying to convince me to buy Norton Utilities. It does this by popping up a dialog saying that your computer needed a scan, it would then say you have x number of things making your computer run slowly etc. but when you click 'Fix' it, it would then try to get you to purchase Norton Utilities. Even if you click "Don't show again" it keeps coming back. I had to delve into the settings to turn off some of this stuff but really it shouldn't be doing it in the first place! - Norton Life lock seems useful on the front of it but it asks for a lot of additional personal information such as NI number, bank details etc. so they can alert you if your details are being used on the Dark Web. I chose not to provide that though. What a lot of users don't realise is that your details end up on the Dark Web when a site you have signed up for in the past has been compromised. You have to ask yourself what happens if Norton gets compromised when they have all your personal details and not just your email and password! My initial positive experience of Norton 360 was ultimately marred by the overly intrusive behaviour of the software. I like my AV to sit in the background and protect me when I need it. This overly aggressive advertising and other questionable functionality has lead to me uninstall the product and never look at Norton again.
