I Was Pleased
I was concerned about the quality of this knife due to some of the reviews.I do not doubt they had the problems they described, but perhaps there was a bad run. The one I received worked fine out of the box in terms of locking both the blade and marlin spike. I did not try to break my knife, but I did exert significant force to test the locks, and they held up. The blade does not wobble. The blade is not overly thin. This seems to be a very good knife at this price point.

Unsafe! Blade does NOT lock!!
The marlin spike it ok for the price. The blade is dull and crap. Blade lock does not work. No matter what you do, this knife will still fold with very little effort. Very unsafe.

The spike is good quality but the rope strap breaks.
The spike is good quality but the rope strap breaks after being onboard a boat after a few weeks.

Reasonable budget knife.
I read the other product reviews and saw others had problems with this budget knife's liner-lock... the first time I opened it, it didn't lock up well, but a quick tweak of the liners lock with my thumb locked it up strongly, and afterwards it locked up well without tweaking. I suspect there was a burr or other annoyance that kept it from behaving nicely that pushing it locked fixed... definitely a QC issue... the marlin spike does lock on mine (the back ring is a lock-lever cam that will work pushed in either direction). The blade came sharp-ish... not sharp enough for my needs (I am using it to cut paracord), I would call it medium-dull, but it's basically a disposable knife and I expected to have to sharpen it.Would I recommend it for someone who needs a marlin-hook rigging knife for work? Heck no. Is it good enough for hobby use? Sure.If you are a waterman and need to be able to count on it as a safety-tool, buy something else higher quality... if you just want something to cut cord and loosen knots occasionally? sure... it will work just fine with a little sharpening and maybe tweaking the lock(s). I don't regret the purchase price (I paid about $13), nope.

For how much I paid, this is a fantastic knife. Good quality to price ratio.

No good
The lock on the marlin spike broke on first use and the locking mechanism on the blade never worked. Blade gets dull fast. Just leave it in the box. That’s as good as it will ever be with this thing

Buen producto!
