I've had this lid for about 10 months and it's been absolutely fantastic, it doesn't leak, it is easy to operate with one hand, and it fits both of the Healthy Human bottles I own. I'm a fitness instructor and carry my bottle everywhere. It's been dropped in my bag and I don't have to worry about anything else getting wet. The downside for me was that just about 5 minutes ago the bottle fell out of my bag as I took it out of the car and the clear plastic cap completely shattered as it hit the floor. Bye bye lid. I guess it's my fault for being a bit clumsy in the rain, but I had hoped that the clear part of the lid would be a little more resilient to drops. Back to the screw lid for a while. At $12.99 replacing the flip lid after 10 months is a bit on the pricey side which is the reason I give it 4 stars :([update May 19 2018]I am upgrading this review to 5 stars from 4. I hadn't anticipated any response from my review but today I received an email from Healthy Human offering to send me a brand new replacement lid free of charge. Wow, this company absolutely stands by their warranty. I hadn't even considered contacting them and asking for a new lid, as after all, they are not responsible for gravity :P

A little spendy but worth it. The original lid broke after I accidentally dropped the bottle.... :( .... My first order of the "Flip n sip" got lost in the mail ..... :( .... but now I have this lid, I'm very happy. It's so much easier to use than the original lid, which you have to completely unscrew each time you want to take a drink. Now I can just flip up the clear cover with the push of the button (the grey rectangle in the front). I filter my own water and this lid doesn't make it taste 'plasticky'. The handle is much more comfortable in my hand than the original., so it's easier to carry long distances, if necessary. Appears to be sturdy and well made - hopefully this version won't break as easily as the original. I use my bottle mainly for field work and hiking.

I was a bit skeptical about this lid and waited to buy it because I don't typically like flip lips; they leak or break and I didn't want the coolness of my beverages to be affected. I ended up giving it a try because I wanted to see if I would like not having to screw off the top to drink from my healthy human stein. And I experienced instant gratification. I liked how the handle folds back and out of the way when you don't need it. The extra silver latch ensures it does not leak, although I will say I have carried my stein both in my purse and backpack without using the silver latch and the lid did not leak at all. Its very sturdy. And my beverages still stay cold. Win win all around. I actually wish this lid came with my original stein but I'm glad I bought it.

I own multiple Healthy Human water bottles, they are durable and I love the pattern selection. It holds water temperature for a long time, great for packing iced water on a hot summer hike. The flip up lid is easy to use and I find the sound of the locking mechanism satisfying, it’s the only reason I remember to drink water throughout the day.However I did notice the lid seals are different between the flip up lids I purchased a few years apart. One is clear and the other is dark gray. I forgot which one came first but the clear one has developed black mold and it’s concerning since that’s where your mouth make direct contact with the bottle. I tried to scrub it off but only managed to remove a little bit of it. The dark colored one seems fine.

Note: the lid fits the Healthy Human bottles. This is a very high quality lid with a good feel and good mechanical feel - the button feels solid; the lid closes firmly, the safety clasp moves cleanly and the lid screws on the bottle (purchased separately) very easily and securely. The only problem is that I only purchased one and since the lid is dishwasher safe (but the bottle is NOT), I'm out a lid while running it through the dishwasher. I'd better purchase another one!I'm only recommending the lids and bottles for people who don't lose their stuff. Kids lose stuff. I'll buy them less expensive bottles. But I don't lose my water bottles. Instead, I keep them long enough for them to wear out and die. If you keep your stuff safe and like cold water on a regular basis, this lid and the associated bottle is for you. (And no, I don't work for the manufacturer. I just like good quality stuff.)

This is absolutely the best bottle, hands down! It keeps my water cold for 48 hours and even with some ice left after the stated 24 hours. It fits in my car holder about 2/3 of the way and stays there when I'm driving. I love the Flip n Sip lid. It cuts down on germs when I'm at work because I just push the button to open. It's very handy and I can easily sip water anytime during my busy day. I also had a concern and the company is easy to work with, very friendly and stand behind their product 100%. I love the product and I love this company!

I bought this for my 32 oz stein because the regular lid has to be unscrewed to drink. I have been putting ice in it since the weather got hot and the large opening lets the ice hit my face or the water slosh out. I've had other flip & sip tops on other bottles and the button to pop open the lid is a little smaller and a little harder to push. The spout is a little smaller and the wire to secure the pop top is not as secure (there's not much of a lip to hold it in place). The handle is just as wide as on the regular lid (which I like) but it does not feel as solid or secure as the regular lid. I think because the regular lid is made of metal and tougher stuff, this lid feels a little flimsier by comparison. But I do like that it's interchangeable with all stein bottles and it does what it's supposed to do: pop open and let you drink without getting ice or cold water on your face. I think it could stand some improvements, especially since it cost about the same as some other plastic bottles I've bought, but I think it's a good option for my stein.
