Identity: Contemporary Identity Politics and the Struggle for Recognition

Relevant and lucid.
Surprisingly both well researched and accessible. Fukuyama traces identity, resentment politics, and dignity, putting each one in relevant context.

Brilliant
For college-educated readers.I had beewn looking for a long time for a good explanation of how to explain the Trump phenomenon in America, other than that Trump and his core are "narcissists," which does not differentiate them from any other person who has narcissism, which is all of us. How to explain their resentment? Their unwillingness to learn? Their profound sense of injury when they are questioned?Nearly all psychology/political philosophy books fall short. This one does not.Fukuyama links psychological with political in a very deep way.
