A delicious high-quality daily treat!
This Protein powder quickly became an essential item in my pantry. After experimenting with many other alternatives, I realized that using this daily, provides me with an excellent sustained energy good enough for regular work out and balanced diet. I mix 3 scopes (1.5 servings) with 10-12 oz. of milk, two scoops a serving of chia seeds, a handful of salted mixed nuts, and occasionally a serving of Creatine. I blend it all in Nutirbullet, and the result is always a delicious, perfect consistency, wholesome breakfast/lunch! The blendability is perfect. The taste and smell are very pleasant. It doesn't even feel like a compromise, but rather a delicious treat. Unlike other brands I tried, this one doesn't clump or have any chalkie at all. As long as I start my mix with the liquid in the blender first, then add the power, it works perfectly every time! I highly recommend it!

Believe the Hype
UPDATE 9/6/2017: Been using for a few weeks now and I've figured out the thickness problem. The ideal shake for me is 10oz water for every scoop of protein. I've found 8oz or less results in the shake being too thick and just unpleasant to drink. You can expect most reviews on protein powders rated 4+ stars to rave about the taste, even when you’ve tried it yourself and it tastes like sweet dirt (MusclePharm). So of course when I saw the reviews for this Dymatize Casein I didn’t really bat an eye. I was glad nobody was saying it tasted terrible, but I was mostly concerned with the macros and ingredient list. After deciding on this because of its good price, only a few ingredients, and quality macros, I received it a few days ago. Believe me when I say this is the best tasting protein I’ve had the pleasure of purchasing. Honestly it tastes like a Chick Fil A shake, if Chick Fil A had a cinnamon flavor. And I’ve only been using one scoop per 8oz water, I can only imagine how 1.5 scoops tastes with milk or vanilla almond milk. YES it is very thick compared to Gold Standard or other whey powders, but I think all casein powders are. But that doesn't make it difficult to mix. My one scoop per 8oz water mixes fully with just a few shakes of the blender bottle. I'd say it mixes even easier than the Gold Standard I have. The first night I drank it I’ll admit I had some trouble downing it because I was already pretty full. But every night since I’ve had no issues. I just enjoy the taste too much, the thick texture doesn’t bother me anymore. I used to wake up with stomach aches because I’d be so hungry, but not since taking this protein. Also I’ve experienced no side effects like gas or bloating. For anyone wondering, I am bulking and do one scoop with my last meal for the day, 1-1.5 hours before bed. I’d recommend having it 1.5-2 hours before bed. Last night I did an hour and had to wake up in the middle of the night to pee. Not ideal. I’ve heard of some people also using casein when cutting. One scoop in the morning to keep you full for several hours until lunch rolls around. I’d recommend it for this purpose too, it keeps me full but not bloated and I bet it’ll taste great in a smoothie with some berries and a banana in the morning.

Don't believe cinnamon roll hype...try before u buy
Great protein. Filling, all flavors mix pretty well. Great macros and competitive price. Haven't tried ON Casein, but have no need to convert. As far as the flavors go: Cinnamon Roll 2/5 Way too artificial tasting. It became disgusting / almost repulsive to me after having it too much. I ordered it first and still haven't gotten through it (while going through 4lbs of chocolate and 4lbs of cookies and cream). Some people love it, which is why I bought it first. I found it only tastes ok in a shake with almond milk. It's terrible for making pudding, subpar for pancakes -- anything besides shakes is dicey. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Chocolate 5/5 Tastes good in any form. I mean it's not a milkshake (like some people seem to claim, it doesn't have sugar for christs sake). But it's one of the best tasting protein powders I've had. Mixes well into a pudding, pancakes, anything really. Super versatile. Flavor isn't overwhelming...hard to get tired of. Sweet enough for a treat, but doesn't get tiring. Cookies and Cream 4.5/5 Pretty good. Has some of the artificial taste, but not that bad. Didn't enjoy it quite as much as chocolate, but it's a great way to mix it up. Would definitely recommend. I will be alternating between chocolate and cookies and cream going forward, probably buying chocolate a bit more. Overall a great product. Cinnamon roll flavor is really hit and miss depending on your taste buds -- try it before buying 4lbs.

Tasty, Slow Release Protein Product
I LOVE this casein product! I read that people find it chalky but it really isn't very much. It's kind of thick like a milk shake. I appreciate that it's low carb, only 3grams per serving, and 25grams is a good amount of protein. It does have a few extra ingredients included but I think those help even the consistency of the shaken or stirred product. And it tastes yummy. I look forward to my delicious shake before bed and know that the slow protein release in the night will keep my muscles fed for a few hours. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

A great protein powder for baking and blended shakes
I initially bought this protein because I wanted a pure casein powder for the sake of baking and other recipes. Pros: - Tastes amazing and is absolutely phenomenal in recipes. Pictured above is a protein Vanilla Ice Cream I made in my blender. - Extremely versatile in recipes. Casein protein powder in baking helps make things have a dense, less dry, less cakey recipe than whey, so it's a must-have for any protein baker. - Whips up nicely. Think of whisked eggs. An example is also in the picture above. - Reasonably priced. - The macros are good enough. The composition of this powder is 83.3% calories from protein which is good considering this powder tastes good. Cons: - Due to the nature of it being a casein blend, this does not mix well with water at all, so it is not good for quick protein shakes. If you mix this with water or milk, you may find it to be very grainy and thick which isn't too desirable. - It is reasonably priced, but it is still not the cheapest option for general protein intake. Overall: I still think even with the cons this qualifies as a 5-star item. Casein powder just typically isn't great for quick water/milk-based shakes in general, so I can't take points off for that, and the price itself is fair. TLDR: It's a good-tasting, reasonably-priced product. If you are planning on using it for baking or other recipes buy it. If you are planning on drinking this, do NOT buy this. Opt for a Whey protein or a Whey Isolate instead.
