Hubby needed something to protect his shins while playing in a Senior Softball league. He doesn't umpire but when it comes to pitching & playing short stop he's been hit many times in the shins. He asked that I write a review: 1) Fit is good; easy to adjust straps. 2) Since getting these, he's taken a couple of shin hits & felt nothing. 3) Quality is good, functions as they should. 4) Not bulky or too heavy. 5) Excellent protection and a very good value for the price. He even had a couple of the guys ask about them & then decide to order for themselves!

They have worked out great. I bought these after having two hard shots hit my shin while pitching. I've been able to adjust them so that I can wear them even when batting & running the bases. Based on reviews I read, and seeing how well they're built, I think they'll protect my knees down to shoe tops quite well.

I got these so my shins don't get banged up when I'm splitting wood (i.e. for fireplace) using a wood-splitter. These shin guards are comfortable and flexible and make kneeling easier on the knees.
