Q: what is the max width truss pole that can fit in the "U" ? also, height of truss pole in the "U" and still get the safety pin over it?

2” pipe max. 16” wide trussing max.

Q: Can you use this with a mini trianglar truss??

Possibly. The Truss supports will slide in fairly close. But the center support stops them from getting any closer then 5-6 inches. I wouldn’t go with anything less then an 8” Truss.
