WHEEL OF TIME 4: THE SHADOW RISING (REISSUE)

The Book series is awesome, find it better than the TV series.

Probably the best moment yet experienced for Perrin. It was surreal to watch his journey. Loved the ladies plot in Tanchico too. Rand as usual takes the story to the next level in Aiel Waste.

Fascinating characters were revealed through the book and the history of Aiel was brilliant along with visions,but ending I felt was a bit of a let down

I think their is nothing to say about it because it the one the classics fantasy of all time.Extraordinary world building etc simply perfect

Rating is for the entire series. Thoroughly enjoyable. In a long series like this there I bound to be certain periods where the story just drags on, but over all its a great series with strong characters. Some of these characters will get on your nerves but they are essentially to the story so bear with them. Definitely recommended for the fantasy fiction fans out there.

The Wheel of Time series continues to amaze me with the detailed weaving of the story and the characters. Breathtaking intricacies and well paced

If you're unsure of whether to read this phenomenal series, dont think twice. The books are pure genius.

Mat is my favourite character and he really gets to shine in this novel! A reread for me, I read it a long time ago and am slowly picking the books back up in Japan! WoT always will have my 5 stars :)

Mit den Bänden 1-3 hat die epische Reihe "Wheel of Time" ihren Anfang genommen. Und auch wenn die ersten drei Bücher schon sehr solide Fantasy-Geschichten waren, fehlte doch etwas, das diese Serie von anderen ihrer Art abhebt. Das findet man in diesem Band. Nach "The Dragon Reborn" hat Rand seine Rolle als der auserwählte Drache angenommen. Jetzt muss er herausfinden, was das bedeutet, für sich selbst und für die Welt. Zudem erfahren wir deutlich mehr über die anderen Charaktere. Die Geschehnisse fangen an, sich parallel an verschiedenen Enden der Welt abzuspielen. Nynaeve und Elayne gehen auf eine gefährliche Mission und Perrin muss sich in einer unerwarteten Position gegen eine Übermacht des Schattens behaupten. In "The Shadow Rising" fängt die Welt von "Wheel of Time" an, sich wirklich groß anzufühlen. Zudem erhalten wir Einblicke in einige der interessanten und detaillierten Völker der Welt, sowie ihre Geschichte und Traditionen. Wenn dieses Buch ein Vorgeschmack dessen ist, was mich in dieser Reihe fortan erwartet, dann bin ich sehr begeistert.

Jättebra bok - men finns mer att önska när det gäller hållbarheten av pappret och inbindningen. Ser väldigt välsliten ut efter endast en läsning. En del av texten var lite suddig också…
