The media could not be loaded. Stop using growlers! This mini keg from Keg Smith is the only way to buy beer from local breweries to take home with you! With a growler, you have to drink the beer that day before it goes flat. With Keg Smith & the CO2, I have poured beers up to 5 days later that was still fresh and NOT flat.Here is the process and why I love my mini keg:-Show up to the brewery with the 128oz mini keg. Its marked on the bottom with "128oz" making it legal to purchase beer and transport in CA, along with the sealable cap (included). The brewery fills it (128oz = 2 growlers = 8 pints) and tags the mini keg with a paper tag. Because Keg Smith is not a brewery themselves, its legal to fill the mini Keg. Breweries cannot fill other breweries containers, but they can fill Keg Smiths. I have 4 local breweries near me, I have not even be questioned or refused from them, they just always talk how cool the mini keg is!-Get home, remove cap, screw on top tap (with foam blocker in tab) on mini keg.-Screw in the Keg Smith 4 Banger 16 gram CO2 cartridges Keg Smiths 4 Banger 16 Gram C02 Pack - Four Threaded Food Grade 16 Gram CO2 Cartridges (4)-Turn the flow regulator to 8-10 psi, and pull the Tap. Beer will now be flowing!-When you are done for the night, simply turn the regulator off, leave the mini keg pressurized to preserve the beer and prevent it from going flat. (Growlers cannot do that!) Place the mini keg in the fridge to keep the beer cold.-Once the beer is gone, simply fill the mini keg with hot water and drop a Keg Smiths Mini Keg Tablets cleaning tablet (1 per 64oz) and let it sit for 10 minutes and pour out, air dry.I recommend getting the Keg Smiths Keg Kooler - 1 Gallon Keg Kooler Jacket - Keep your Keg Cold Longer Kooler Jacket, it will protect the mini keg and hold extra CO2 cartridges, but more importantly it will keep your mini keg cold longer. I had it on the patio at all afternoon into the night 80 degrees going down to 73 degrees outside air temp, and the beer remained cold!Its the perfect solution for transporting beer, even wine and other beverages that need to be carbonated, keeping it cold, and bringing enough for everyone to enjoy. Your buddies will be impressed on easy and functional it is and you will love the convenience of just one mini keg & easy flow of beer a lot more than legging 2 glass growers that break if dropped, not stay cold and let the beer go flat.Note - There is plastic round part in the tap called a "foam blocker" that keeps foam from spewing out the keg. It preserving your beer along with saving you time waiting for foam head to reside. Great little feature on the tap!Bottomline - If you are buying beer in growlers, step up and get the Keg Smith mini keg system.

These are awesome, at first I thought "what would I ever do with just a gallon of beer?" But then I got one for Christmas, and figured I'd give it a try. Two things,1) These are double the size of most growlers, so you can bring home TWICE as much beer as you normally would if you bought a growler at your local brewery. Not to mention, because of the CO2 setup, it won't go flat, so you can drink a beer or two at a time, and it lasts weeks instead of a day.2) I like to homebrew, but I don't have room to carb and refrigerate a full size (or even pony) keg. So instead, I buy two one-gallon kits at a time and brew them each side-by-side in my kitchen, which I then ferment and bottle to carb. But now, after fermenting, I just toss it in these and it's carbed in hours instead of days. This easily eliminates 75% of the work and 50% of the time to home brew, which has gotten me back into it after being on a 5-year hiatus.I was skeptical, but now I'm so glad I got one as a gift, I already bought a second so I can keep homebrew and local brewery beer in my fridge at the same time.

I bought this for my beer loving boyfriend, and he was shocked that there is such an amazing product on the market like this! Being from So Cal, we have a lot of really good breweries in the area that do Growler fills. My boyfriend was over the moon happy that he can bring this with him and enjoy craft beers much longer than usual. We've already filled it a few times for get-togethers, and I swear, everyone, EVERYONE, is so amazed by how cool this little keg is. They were all asking my boyfriend questions about it, looking it over, asking me where I got it. Not only does this thing look great, but this keg delivers in quality as well. Just by holding all of the components that were included (by the way, they include extra parts like tubing and washers, extra points in my book), you can tell the quality of the materials and workmanship that goes into this whole set up.Cannot wait for this summer where we can get our favorite beer flowing with some friends at a tailgate or backyard BBQ. I first heard about this company when a girlfriend brought over some premixed mimosas for a party I was throwing. How simply genius!! Craft beer, premade cocktails, anything you need carbonated, (kids parties for sparkling juice or soda) this is all you need! Super portable, very well made, and easy to clean (get the tablets). I'm no engineer and I've never managed a keg in my life and was totally able to work this piece of art. I am so happy with my purchase. Can't wait for my hubby to take it on his golf trips, or host my next girls brunch. This is always a conversation starter and one of a kind.Edit: (hubs) I've taken it on day trips skiing. I stop by the local brewery fill up my favorite beer on the way to the mountain. Very convenient, I get my local brew at the mountain and don't have to pay resort beer prices 😁.

Solid unit. Having a bit of excessive gas usage, but will contact customer service to troubleshoot. I'm sure they will be able to solve this.

Saw this product and it intrigued me and got my curiosity up so i bought one to try and I couldn't be happier with this product. I use growlers all the time but the problem with a growler is that once you crack it open you have to drink the whole thing. With this little Keg Smith you fill it and have a cold, fresh beer anytime you want. It holds about the equivalent of two growlers and works just like a regular sized keg except you can fit this one in your refrigerator. Or your golf cart which was a hit with my golf buddies. Assembly time was about 15 minutes and could not be any easier with very few moving parts I also bought the four pack of CO2 cartridges so i would be good to go when my keg was empty. Bottom line, I love this product and it may be the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time.
