It works
Its a gift - but i opened it and put in batteries and tried it. Kids have been so disappointed by toys that did not work that, i now try them out before gifting. The coin slot is a bit sticky and does not activate the machine every time. But it works well enough to function. The claw will only pick up very light weight small items. The top of the machine does not lift off which i know already is going to be a problem because if the wrong toys are put in or its over filled - i don't know how they will get the toys out. The claw was wrapped in plastic inside the machine , i had a terrible time trying to get the plastic off the claw so that it could operate. The top really should lift off, but it doesn’t. Kids really wanted this and it does work, i just hope it lasts a while.

Is your home boring and too quiet?
Holy guacamoly! This thing has one volume setting, roaring! Wish it had settings to change the volume setting. It is a lot of fun to play with, my son really enjoys it. Roaring was just an exaggeration, but it is loud. and it does get annoying listening to the same tune over and over again. Overall it is a great and fun gift. I'm sure I can figure out a way to remove the speaker from this thing later.

Here comes the clowns
While my son loves this claw machine, I want to put my head in a microwave every time it is on. If you want to hear "here comes the clowns" on repeat for hours, your fantasies will be filled. The claw machine itself is great. He really enjoys it. Just know that anything the size of a hot wheel or bigger won't work.
