Everyone that is one the streets and not in a car -- walkers, runners, bikers, etc -- should wear one of these. I've had people stop me on the street while I was walking to thank me for wearing this so they can see me. I even wear it during the day now and still get comments. Buy much larger than you think as it seems to run a bit small and you want plenty of room for coats underneath.

This is a great vest for the price. I bought this vest for use as a bicycle commuter, and it vastly increases my visibility in both nighttime and daytime. I used it daily for the last 4.5 months. Vests are extremely versatile since they can be used over any clothing in both warm and cold weather. Durability: The zipper is pretty tough and has given me no problems. The material has frayed a bit around the neck and chest area where the velcro on my jacket catches it, but it doesn't seem to be causing any major problems. The reflective strips have stayed on and shown no signs of peeling off. Overall, it is pretty well made. Fit: I usually wear a medium for my shirts and jackets, and am closer to a large size than to a small. I was wearing this in the winter over both a warm mid layer wool shirt and a rain/wind outer jacket. The large fit perfectly over them; fitted but not tight. I have also worn it on warm days over just a t-shirt and it is a tad loose but still fits fine. Visibility: The bright yellow makes me much more visible in the daytime and other low-light situations. Meanwhile, the reflective strips work wonders at night and any time that vehicles have their lights on. My wife, who rides with me, has testified to how bright it is. I have also noticed fewer vehicles seeming to not notice me on the road. I highly recommend that anyone who commutes on a bike get a vest or jacket with a large amount of both bright material and reflective material. The bright color helps in all situations, including when cars don't have their lights aimed at you, while the reflective stips greatly increase your visibility when they do. Don't rely on only active lights since large bright objects are much more attention grabbing and easier to position. Use both bright clothing and active lights. Conclusion: This is a cheap and effective vest that really makes you stand out in traffic. It is perfect for a bicycle commuter who wants something cheap, durable, and versatile that will also keep you alive and injury free.

Highly visible, works well, and even cleans well in the laundry. The only issue is that it started to get torn even before washing it. Comfortable, light, and fits over my winter coat. I recommend this product.

Bought an XL and an XXL. The XXL fits best over a Carhartt size L sweatshirt that I wear when working outside in the cold. Overall the vest is well made.

I really enjoy this vest and it has helped me in a variety of ways. Additionally, I get a lot of positive comments from folks walking up to tell me how smart I am to wear it. In terms of benefits, I ride my motorcycle to work at 5:30 each morning through an area surrounded by trees and crossing bridges over a lake. I do not have a windshield on the bike and at that time of the morning, it is semi dark and a lot of bugs come at my headlight and hit me. Those bugs splat on my face shield but just hit and bounce off the vest. I get to my destination and have to clean my face shield, but my vest and shirt are clean. This vest saves a lot of shirts in that regard. Also, I often wear polo or golf styled shirts when I go work. When I get up to driving speed, some of my collars really begin to flap in the wind. Instead of listening to that noise or risking damage to the shirt, I simply tuck the collar under this vest. Problem solved. Third solution is that this vest does serve as a windbreaker to the portions of your body that it covers. At the moment is is hot as well hell but a few mornings last month were downright chilly and this vest sure helped. Finally, the fourth benefit?----it is bright neon yellow with reflectors---duh. I purchased this zipper version as I knew I would be using it on my motorcycle and did not want the wind pulling it open. The zipper seems strong and never slips down in the wind. I purchased one size larger than I normally wear just so I can put it on over my jackets. In terms of sizing, the one size largers fits great, without a jacket or with a light jacket. However, if you are planning on wearing it over a heavier coat, you might want to go two sizes larger. The vest itself is very light and foldable and I usually forget I have it on. For the price and benefits this vest offers, it is a great value and I highly recommend.

I ended up purchasing another product. It's hot in Florida and the material is nonbreathable. Reflective to a point. Might be a good starter product as it's inexpensive.

Good for bike riding

Unit is as described. Light material, but very reflective and zipper worked well for light duty usage. Just remember to order a larger size to go over your existing clothing, such as a winter coat. That is why the seller makes available such large sizes.
