I would buy it again without hesitation.
This is the 9th Peak Design product I've purchased. Each of the products have been so well engineered, so functional, I simply could find no fault. I have the Messenger Bag; however, I shoot with two cameras using the BlackRapid Dual Harness System, so the equipment goes from the bag to the harness. Using two Olympus OM-D cameras with 6 lenses, I simply ran out of room in the Messenger Bag. Peak Design makes such great stuff for photographers, I was excited to learn they were making backpack style camera bags now! PD did not disappoint! I opted for the 30L as I travel with quite a lot of equipment. A day after the bag arrived at my door I loaded it with my gear, and boarded a plane for Tucson, AZ... This bag is nothing short of awesome. I packed my 15 Laptop, all cords, two cameras, 4 lenses, and all related gear and carried it as carry on throughout all flights to and from... Flawlessly. In fact, I received many compliments on the bag... from total strangers. Mind you, this is a very unique customizable interior system that takes a bit to grow accustomed to, but it is excellent nonetheless. The closure system is so secure, but so exquisitely well designed that you will be able to secure and open with one hand in a no look in a hurry manner. I carried this bag, FULLY loaded and it was totally comfortable! Airport to airport, no problem! Also, even fully loaded, this bag fits well in the overhead bin perfectly. Yes, this Peak Design BackPack 30L is costly... Worth it to me. I would gladly buy this again... anytime.

Great bag...functional and durable.
After a week of heavy use.I really like this backpack. I am a professional video photographer and a amature still photographer. When carrying so much gear as a video photographer you become dependent on back packs, so when I am out on my a mature still photo safaris I have come to depend on backpacks as well. The Peak Design Everyday 30 is the best backpack i have ever used.1. The construction appears to be very good. The skin is a durable water proof fabric. The stitching is secure and strong. The Velcro inserts are innovative and functional.2. Design is thoughtful and functional. All the built in straps secure the gear on the out side easily. I like the side access so I can get the camera and lenses out like a shoulder bag. And once again the functionality of the inserts makes the interior very flexible.3. From bottom up. I carry my 200mm lens in its bag on the bottom. Insert A carries my D750 with my 50mm lens on the one side and the battery charger on the other. Insert B carries my wide angle on the side with the camera and cleaning supplies and filters on the other. Insert C, accessible from the top, carries my 35mm, 135mm and flash. Thw side pokets carry extra cards and batteries plus numerous other extras. So plenty of room for all my stuff and a little room to grow.4. The front latch is easy to access yet secure and the laptop compartment fits my 15inch MacBook Pro, would be tight with anything thicker.5. Still working on breaking the shoulder straps in,but I find the bag to be comfortable on one or both shoulders. All said and done this was the bag I was looking for and serves me well. I would stick with the 30 for its size, the profile was a little larger than I planned, but I got use to it in just a couple of days.I currently have no negatives to report on this bag and I would highly recommend checking it out.

I switched from a 20L to a 30L... Here is my 2 week review.
I've had my 30L backpack for a little over 2 weeks now. Here is my report. But first, it's worth noting that I first ordered the 20L and returned it because it was too small for me and the gear I want to carry.4 Stars... Why?I'm not one to freely give 5-stars. A product has to really blow me away or grant me infinity wishes to get a 5-star review.GEAR I'M CARRYING:- Canon 5d mk4- 16-35mm lens- 70-200mm lens "the brick"- Rode VideoMic Pro+- Large Golby Tripod- 13" Mackbook Pro (+charger)- PD Everday satchel (cords & cables)- Couple ND filters- Sony RX100 VWhen I first got the 20L, this is all the gear I wanted to carry with me and NO WAY was it going to come even close to fitting and I tried a bunch of configurations. The largest challenge was with my 70-200mm lens. It's pretty tall and when I tried keeping it in the horizontal position, the side panels wouldn't close when I had accessories in them. Also, I'm a 6'1" dude at about 185lbs. It felt like a kids backpack on me. Didn't look right.Ok, on to the 30L... I'll start with the cons. There aren't many.CONS:- The base of the backpack has VERY little padding. They recommend using one of the dividing panels at the very base which does give more padding but then uses up that divider for basically a fancy cushion. Make me a little nervous each time I set my bag down.- The accessory space in the side panels is a little awkward. They are a little challenging to get at for regular quick access. Plus the little pockets could use a bit more give (maybe with time). I find it a bit hard shoving things in them and removing them. Better tight than loose. I'm just being extra critical.PROS:- Hands down, it carries weight EXTREMELY comfortably. With my gear loaded, the bag is heavy but feels very comfortable to wear and walk around with. I was actually very surprised.- The 3 handles (top and sides) are awesome! I find myself regularly using them. They are sturdy and very helpful.- Construction is top notch. Stichting, material, attention to detail is definitely there.- The side access panels that allow you to keep you bag off the ground when switching lenses is way more helpful than I anticipated. Especially for the run & gun shooter I am.There a bunch more pros, but many of those are just the product features themselves. So I'm going to spare you. The above mentioned is what I'd want to know if I were about to buy this bag. I hope it's helpful.
