The document feeder does not work automatically
I have many many HP printers in fact I could have a museum in my home. But today I needed to get the document feeder working on my latest HP Envy inspire 7955 e. For the life of me I couldn't figure this out and I've worked with printers for decades. So I had to call HP and it took the technician an hour and 32 minutes to figure out that the document feeder somehow or another Maybe affected by the ews embedded web server whatever. I'm simply might have missed it on the drop-down menu on the scanners preferences screen. Well he got it to work and it works very well. In the photographs there's a photograph of the printer and then I opened up the document feeder and show the switch which allows the document feeder to know that there is paper in the document chute.

Super happy with my purchase
Great quality. Easy setup. Replaced my older printer and super happy with this one. We all use it at home including my granddaughter for school and son for college assignments. I use it mostly to print photos. Highly recommend

One of the worst printers I have ever come across in 40 years of computers
HP has gone from a leader in printers to junk dealer from the physical printer itself, to the install, to the tech support, to the entire spectrum of what they could do wrong. If I had simply ignored all their instructions and help, especially the "HP SMART" software, I would have likely had this setup and working within 30 minutes. However, the setup guide said "install the REQUIRED HP Smart software" (it was in bold in the instructions). It was a confusing, complicated, install that was mostly a hard hard sell for instant ink and kept requiring me to give info. It never gave me any opportunity to give my own name to the printer, my own IP address, turn off feature such as Wi-Fi direct. When I called the HP support it went from an automated voice insisting I give my serial number and not finding it thus dropping me. Going online and entering my just activated serial number from a package I received today to something that has already lost two months of warranty? WTF? And now I supposed to provide evidence that I just got it? Doesnt the fact the serial number was just activated prove that. I was dropped not once but twice after calling tech support. After going thru at least 4 separate phone calls, I finally got a tech who said I didnt need to install the allegedly required HP SMART and could have set it up from the screen, download he few drivers, used the embedded web service, and did it all easily. So after cleaning it all off, reconfiguring to my needs, and thinking I am all done, the HP Support goes down so now I cant even download drivers. I have an HP Laserjet 4 built in 1995 (yes 1995) that still works fine. I had a Office Jet Pro that lasted 10 years (which you couldnt even get a repair manual for). I then bought another Office Jet Pro that worked fine for 5 years and then the printhead died and they dont make the part for it. Now I have this one which I cant even get to work. All HP wants to do is sell cheap printers and expensive ink. I will never purchase another HP product PS: Even after an additional half dozen phone calls, my hardware warranty was put to the proper place but inexplicably is now set back to original incorrect date. I have returned the product and am now using an old canon printer

Worth buying. The easiest printer I have ever had to set up (out of the box).
I have had 3 HP printers over the past 10 years. The first HP Envy I purchased was fantastic! After I printed over 11,000 pages, I gave it to my mom, who then printed several thousand more copies before it finally gave up. I was super satisfied with it, and I purchased another HP Envy (a different model, as the first style was no longer sold). The second HP Envy printer was as bad as the first was good. Suddenly, it stopped working, and it was only 2 years old. This HP Envy Inspire 7900 printer is so far excellent compared to the last one. My only complaint is that the little shelf that catches the paper after it is printed was automatic with previous printer models, but it is no longer; otherwise, I would have given this printer 5 stars.

Very pleased
This is a quality printer and I am so happy to have it and it’s a breeze to use once it is set up. My neighbor came over and set it up for me so how lucky was I don’t hesitate to buy this. Downside because you have to sign up and pick a plan you wanna pay monthly for so I chose the $10 plan because this is not something I will be using very often. I’m a retired person who basically just has to print out stuff for my doctors it will print in color which I don’t need that either but there you go don’t hesitate to buy this.

I recently started using the HP Envy Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer, and I’m delighted with its performance. This printer not only meets but surpasses my expectations with its high-quality output and versatile functionality. Setting up the printer was a breeze, and the print quality is excellent, whether I’m printing documents, photos, or creative projects. The addition of the HP+ Instant Ink bonus for three months is a fantastic perk, ensuring I never run out of ink unexpectedly and saving on printing costs. The all-in-one capabilities are incredibly convenient; the printer handles scanning, copying, and printing with ease, making it a valuable addition to my home office. The wireless connectivity is reliable, and the mobile printing options make it easy to send documents from anywhere. Overall, the HP Envy Inspire 7955e has proven to be a reliable and efficient printer, offering great value with the Instant Ink subscription. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance, multifunction printer. Highly recommended!

Printer is ok but the instant ink is a scam. You have to give a credit card number to get your 6 months free ink and then they charge you per month whether you get ink or not. I never got ink shipped to me during my 6 months free ink even after 4 phone calls saying I was out of ink so I had to buy ink at the store then finally they shipped me 4 free ink but since I cancelled my account because my ink was not being automatically shipped; the ink cartridges they sent so longer work cause you have to be connected to their program. Scam! Scam! Scam!!! I will never buy Hp products again! Printer also keeps shutting down saying no ink cartridge so I have to unplug it to get it to reboot to work.
