This fabric was just perfect. Easy to work with and very sturdy. We went with brown and it was just right for covering my barstools. I used a staple gun, but upholstery tacks will also work with this one.

I purchased 3 -1 yard cuts of the tooled leather as on the product page I read Satisfaction Guaranteed. This faux tooled leather has such a potent toxic smell. I could smell through the package when it arrived, so I opened outside. It has been airing out for over five weeks and still about knocks me out when I get close to it. About 2 weeks into the airing out process, I decided to return it. After filing the return request I got a paper stating that the Amazon store Big Z Fabrics will charge me a 20% restocking fee and will charge me for return shipping. They already charged me 17.00 for shipping to me. By the time they gave a credit, I might end up with 2.00! Hey Big Z Fabrics.... I am not satisfied! Is your SATISFACTION GUARANTEED verbiage just a ploy to get people to buy? Your product description should include that the tooled leather contains toxic eye burning and lung seizing chemicals. I would not have bought it! I have worked with other tooled leather and never witnessed such a toxic smell.

I saw a pillow in a local shop similar to the one I made and it was $248! I ordered this fabric and also picked up some faux cowhide fabric to make my own. I actually painted this because I wanted a richer brown, and it is still really soft and pliable. My pillow didn’t cost $248, and I am pleased with how it turned out.
