well, if you carefully glued the hull, i bet it would float... but the wood as it is will swell and the whole thing will be ruined. you'd need a hardwood or seriously treated balsa for it to float and not be wrecked.

Q: Are the parts cut or do I have to cut them out?

they are 'pre-cut' so half-way in between - they are in sheets; I usually find cutting things out only as you need them saves time trying to remember which nearly-similar piece goes where!
