I’m writing this to inform others that it will work for a big bear 400. Works great with mine! I did swap the jets out. I can’t inform if it works correctly with the jets provided with this new one. It was very simple to install and required no other adjustments.

We have used this same carburetor on our work horse, 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400 for the past 10 years. We use it to feed our horses so we run the quad at low speeds, heavy loads, lots of stopping & starting and more dirt than you can imagine. This item has performed excellently. The last one we installed lasted 4 years with intense daily use. The addition of the fuel & air filter makes this a great value. You'll serve yourself well to get this item...it will keep you running whether it's for work or play.

This was for my 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400 2wd. Pretty easy to switch out just pay attention as you take the old one off. Put it on and she started right up.. Just had to adjust the idle. Great price!
