So Easy to Install and Use, Works Very Well
Originally, I had the Brother 1100 Pro-Type Model for my business, so I could print my own Shipping Labels and save time and money. It worked great for a while, then stopped working all together (Wouldn't turn on). I took it to be repaired at an Office Supplies Store that did repairs. It turned out to be a computer board in the machine that couldn't be replaced. The repair Tech told me to buy a DYMO Label Printing Machine, which I did. I set it up and it kept telling me it was out of Labels! It was full of labels, and they were DYMO Brand! After four hours of trying to make it work, I gave up and set out to find one that worked! I found the POLONO Thermal Label Printer, 4x6 Shipping Label Printer on Amazon while checking different machines and their reviews. Overall reviews were good, only issue some buyers stated was quality of print. I purchased the machine, along with the feeder tray and several boxes of POLONO Thermal Shipping Labels (4"x6"). Upon receiving the machine and accessories, I went about setting it up. It was a breeze setting up the machine and the accessories and downloading the software, that comes with the machine on a Thumb drive. After downloading the software, I went to the POLONO Website and did a search for latest updates and completed that task. Once the machine was uploaded on to my computer, I went into my computer's Settings, Printers and Scanners, Select the POLONO Label Printer, Click on Manage, then go the Printer Preferences and select the Print Darkness and select Custom and move the arrow to the darkest setting. Then chose Speed and select Custom and move the arrow to the slowest speed setting. This will give you nice quality Thermal Shipping Labels and resolve the issue so many other customers had. After easy setup, I printed a Test Label and the machine worked perfectly, printing out a great Shipping Label. Since I set the POLONO up, I've printed out over 50 UPS Shipping Labels and have had no problems with the machine printing the labels, the printing quality and every UPC Bar Code was easily read by the UPS Shipping Label Reader. Excellent machine, easy setup and easy to use. Would recommend to anyone needing a good quality, reasonably priced label printing machine.

Design & Footprint: Its sleek, compact design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also space-saving. It fits comfortably on a desk without taking up much room, a crucial factor for those operating in limited spaces. Cost-Efficiency: When it comes to cost, the initial investment may seem a bit steep. However, given its robust performance and how much time and effort it saves in the long run, I find it to be cost-effective. It's an investment that pays for itself in no time. My Opinion: In my view, the POLONO Thermal Label Printer is a robust, high-performing device that streamlines the shipping process, making it a must-have for anyone who regularly ships packages. So this is based on my day 1 impression of it - I'll come back and update the review if anything changes. First impression are good; the photos in the ad don't really do it justice, it "feels" like good quality (but as always, time will tell). Packaging was good and it came with everything that was listed (printer, label holder, USB Stick, Power and USB cables, sample black labels etc). I found setting it up super easy; I didn't bother reading the manual. I just sat it where I wanted it, clipped the label caddy together (and put the spool on), plugged the printer in to the power and the computer, downloaded and installed the drivers from the official site (very easy to find them), lifted the lid and placed the labels about half way in (remembering to set the holder width correctly) and then on shutting the lid the printer automatically moved the label to the correct start location. I made sure to tell Etsy/Ebay to generate 4x6 inch labels and then sent one to print and off it went. Printed fine first time and took about 1 second; print quality is good for the use case, text was all readable, QR and Bar Codes looked like they should scan just fine. I would say the print quality is better than a low end inkjet printer would produce. ** Note: I'm using a roll of the cheapest labels I could find at around £6 for 500 - cheap labels didn't seem to have any impact on print quality or operation of the unit ** Default settings are perfectly acceptable but I did set the "Density" a couple of notches higher in the printer preferences just to add a little more thickness to the text (QR and Bar Codes still looked fine). Really nothing to complain about. Recap: - Feels like a good quality well made unit, time will tell - Couldn't have been any easier to set up (MAKE SURE YOU SET YOUR LABEL GENERATOR TO THE CORRECT PAPER SIZE!!!) - Prints fast with perfectly acceptable print quality. Would recommend :)
