Look great, well made and they can "bite" and hold the thickness of 1/2". Very strong with a super firm grip.

These are the best chip bag clips on this planet, and it's a crying shame that they're marketed as "office equipment". No moving parts, nothing to get worn out and break. They clamp tightly, and you'd think they'd be too big at 3 inches wide but they're actually the perfect size. The steel is thick enough that it won't break. The only reason I'm replacing them is because they keep disappearing from the drawer, because they're so good that everyone keeps taking them. The only gripe is that they're manufactured in China.

I purchased gold or brass colour shown in the picture/ vintage industrial bulldog clip but delivered cheaply made in silver colour.. some of the the clips are not even clips properly and very sharp; high risk of a cut if you think as an industrial vintage one

I have bought boxes of these for years, they are cheap and VERY well-built. We use them as chip/bag clips, to keep toothpaste tubes curled over, all sorts of things. This size is perfect as well, enough to get around a folded or twisted bag, but no so large that we can't keep a tray of about 30 in a kitchen drawer for easy access.
