Forever coffee filter.
This product is amazing. No more paper filters. Due to the double mesh, NO grounds get through. It seems sturdy and not something that you will have to re-purchase in many years to come. It fits into my V60 #02 as if it was made just for it.

Environment friendly coffee filter!!
This is an environment friendly alternative to the chemex paper filters! My coffee has tasted great. These brew maybe a bit faster than the paper filters and still make a wonderful cup of coffee. This is a great, durable alternative.

Basically as good as a paper filter
Long story short: this filter is really, really close to being as good as a paper filter.Long story long: I tried to get into pour over coffee after deciding that nespresso pods are both too expensive and environmentally unfriendly. Before that I was a french press and cold brew gal. I got the Bodum pour over set and replaced the included filter with this one. When I couldn't get pour over quite right in the Bodum, I got the Kalita Wave and matching paper filters.I've also been making cold brew in an Airtight Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker which includes a permanent filter which is, quite frankly, awful. There isn't enough room for the coffee grounds to get a good soaking and it leaves a truly amazing amount of sediment after it's removed. And that's with a coarse grind in a conical burr grinder; I have no idea where all that sediment is coming from. There's a thick layer of sludge at the bottom of the carafe. So I have to filter the cold brew a second time. Which is how I know that the Hario filter works just as well as a paper filter. At this point, I only store the finished cold brew in the Airtight carafe because I like the gasket. But I brew in a half gallon mason jar then, to save time, filter it into 2 other containers so both are draining at the same time. One is the the Kalita Wave with paper filter over the Airtight carafe and the other is this Hario filter in the Bodum. Out of curiosity, I put a fresh filter in the Kalita and poured in the Bodum coffee (previously filtered by the Hario filter). There was some discoloration from the coffee itself and perhaps some very, very fine sediment. But the paper filter was uniformly stained where you'd think, if there were larger particles to filter out, they'd be collected more on the bottom. There was no sediment on the bottom. I was actually shocked that a permanent filter could perform darn near as well as a paper filter.I still can't get pour over right, but I wholeheartedly recommend this filter.

Worked great for 1 year, then clogged
This worked great for 13 months, then I notified it began taking longer and longer to brew one cup. For the last month I’ve had to stir the grounds to get water to drip through. There must be built up sediment between the two layers of filter. No amount of washing or scrubbing has resolved this problem. At month 14 I decided it was taking too long to brew one cup, even with stirring, so I ordered a new filter from a different brand.

I recommend using a fine grind with this filter
I've had this filter for about a week and it's pretty great. It is very fine so I tried using a medium course ground and the coffee came out a bit weak so I tried a fine grind, and that came out great! I also use it to double filter a French press and that came out better than before.

Compatible with Bodum coffee dripper
This usable coffee filter is free of plastic and works very well with the Bodum coffee dripper.

Buy with confidence! This filter is amazing!
I have a Chemex for weekend coffee. If you're into really rich, amazing pour over coffee, you know it's a process and yet the simplest tools, beans and technique yield the best results. I'm no barista, but I play one on the weekends. My biggest complaint about the Chemex paper filters is how they seem to create a vacuum and the drip rate slows dramatically as you brew your coffee. Plus, you have to continually purchase filters. It's easy enough to order them from Amazon, but this filter elevates that experience to another level.First of all, it fits perfectly in the Chemex. The silicone ring around the top helps secure it and keep it from moving around. It's easy to slip off for cleaning. Secondly, this is a double wall, stainless steel mesh. The interior mesh is much finer than the exterior and there is a solid tip, which is also a great design feature.I absolutely love this filter. The flow is perfect and I've never had better tasting coffee from my Chemex. It's truly amazing how much of a difference this makes. There is no sediment, the flow rate is steady and the coffee is fantastic tasting.Cleaning is also a snap. They recommend taking a soapy sponge and wiping out the interior under running water. I tried to simply rinse it off, but there was sediment trapped between the two filters and I thought to myself, oh no... here we go. But magically, the sponge trick works perfectly. Super quick and easy. Rinse thoroughly (of course) and you're ready for another pot of amazing coffee. The Barista Warrior crew are a small business and very responsive to any questions you may have and they are clearly passionate about helping you enjoy a wonderful coffee brewing experience. I can't recommend this more highly. Well designed, good quality and even better execution. Buy with confidence, you won't regret your purchase!
