My favorite cookies
I recently tried David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways (907g), and I must say, they are a delightful treat! Here’s a detailed review based on my experience:Packaging and First ImpressionsThe David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways come in a large, sturdy box with clear, simple packaging that highlights the delicious treat inside. The box is well-sealed, ensuring freshness when it arrives. Upon opening, the cookies are neatly arranged inside, and there’s a protective layer between them to prevent them from breaking or sticking together. The scent immediately hits you as you open the box — a delicious buttery and nutty aroma that promises a rich, indulgent flavor. The size of the box (907g) is quite generous, making it perfect for sharing or stocking up for a party or special occasion.Texture and FlavorThe Butter Pecan Meltaways are incredibly melt-in-your-mouth soft. The texture is light and airy, almost like a shortbread, but with the added richness of butter. As you bite into them, the buttery flavor is the first thing you notice, and then you get the delicious crunch of the pecans in every bite. The pecans are finely chopped, so they blend perfectly with the cookie, adding texture without overpowering the flavor. The cookies are not too sweet, which is great if you prefer a more balanced taste. The pecans add a slightly nutty and roasted flavor that pairs wonderfully with the rich, creamy butter. The combination creates a delicate sweetness that is incredibly satisfying without being overwhelming.Size and ShapeThe cookies are small to medium-sized, perfect for snacking or serving at gatherings. They are round and slightly thick, with a delicate, crumbly texture. Each cookie has a slightly glossy finish, hinting at the butter used in the recipe. While they’re not overly large, their richness means that one or two cookies are more than enough to satisfy a sweet craving.Freshness and QualityOne of the standout features of these cookies is the freshness. Despite being pre-packaged, they taste like they’ve just been baked. The buttery richness and freshness of the pecans stand out, and there’s no hint of artificial flavor or aftertaste. The cookies stay soft and fresh for quite a while (I’ve been able to enjoy them over a week with no noticeable decline in quality), which speaks to the care taken in their packaging and storage.Value for MoneyAt 907g, you get a substantial amount of cookies for the price. Given the premium quality and flavor, these cookies offer excellent value for money, especially if you’re looking for a treat to share with family or guests. The generous serving size means you’ll have plenty to enjoy over time, making it a great option for gifting or as a staple in your snack pantry.OccasionsThese cookies are perfect for a variety of occasions. Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering, looking for a sweet addition to a dessert table, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea, they fit any situation. Their classic flavor and elegant presentation also make them a wonderful gift for birthdays, holidays, or special events.ConclusionOverall, David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways are an absolute treat. The melt-in-your-mouth texture, buttery richness, and crunchy pecan goodness make them stand out as one of the best packaged cookies I’ve had in a long time. The flavor is well-balanced, not too sweet, and perfect for those who enjoy a delicate, nutty treat. If you’re a fan of buttery cookies and pecans, I highly recommend trying these. They’re an excellent choice for those who love high-quality cookies with a sophisticated flavor profile. Whether you’re treating yourself or sharing with friends and family, these meltaways are sure to impress.

I’m a repeat customer
Arrived well-packaged in a box, the tin is sealed with a plastic strip around the rim, and the cookies inside are also inside a plastic covering. Arrived with minimal broken ones, which can be hard to do with these bc they break so easily. I like to keep a couple of these on hand during the holidays to gift a neighbor or postman etc. They are hard to part with though because they’re delicious. I’ve bought about 4-5 of these over the past few years. All arrived well and same condition.

Best Pecan Cookies Ever
I love these cookies so dang much! They melt in your mouth, crumbly and melty and perfect which is a texture I have never found anywhere else. I've never found these cookies to be dry at all. They can look a bit messy but they taste so good and are so fresh that every bite of sugary goodness is well worth it. They don't have the best appearance but they have the best taste. If they altered the sugar content they little bites of perfection would be absolutely ruined. I will definitely be getting these again!

Deliciousness in a tin.
I love these cookies. They really do melt in your mouth and taste like homemade. The 2 lb tin makes a great gift or you can set it out at a party and I am sure they will be gone in a snap. This time I bought them for me because I was craving them and it was a lot easier to buy than also make. My husband is a finicky guy and hates messy food, but even he loves these although they do leave a train of powder. 😀

Broken and crushed cookies
My small family loves these David's cookies. We have purchased several times this year. We were disappointed that there are many broken pieces of cookies in the tin we received. Not sure if you can see the broken pieces in the attached pictures. The flavor is good, but eventually we will have to eat the broken and crushed pieces with a spoon or sprinkle on top of something else. I believe that the cookies were broken during shipment, not by the manufacturer. Attached pictures are taken from two angles to show the broken pieces. I have not removed the cellophone covering 3 of the 4 compartments

these are the best cookies-ever- got some for last christmas- didnt think to go to david cookies site if that mattered- same price $20 for large tin- sugar cookies with powder sugar-pecans-- well i did order amazon-and just opened one- 4 sections and one is so many crumbs- and the others are more 'white powder sugar and this section are more tan? wonder why when its same cookies- are they old? since this isnt direct davids-- it all taste ok but i dont really think the tan section is as sweet- and not one is a solid cookie- so of course wil keep them- but maybe go direct to davids- i see walmart carries also--but since its a food- maybe really order davids- i wont return- but i would call davids if gotten from them--- aug 27-2025- m Boyd

Taste of heaven on earth
This is soooo good, hands down. This is a repeat purchase, my 3rd, and will be ordering my 4th soon. It's not too sweet at all, and I can eat a lot in just one sitting. It's crumbly- so I always have a small plate when I eat. Very addicting because it's so good. I highly recommend. It's a little pricey but it's a huge box/tin that will last long if you have self-control lol.
