Schylling Chinese Jumprope CJR

This brings back memories! This was exactly what I was looking for, and the right length, as an "eternity" rope. It is exactly how I remember my chinese jump rope as a kid, and now I get to teach my niece!

I remember playing Chinese Jump rope when I was a kid and loved it. We tried this with our Brownie troop to teach them games from other countries and all of the girls (12 of them) really, really loved playing. It was hard to stop them... they wanted to keep playing all night. I bought this one for Christmas for my daughter. Again, she played for hours and carried it with her asking everyone to play -- even asked her Grandfather! The price was right and hours of fun! It is one rope with many colors (the package makes it look like a few different ropes but it is just one multi-colored rope). Very happy with my purchase.

I genuinely don't understand why so many people are leaving bad reviews. Maybe they've never opened a Chinese jump rope package up in the early 90's. When I received my packaged, the Chinese jump rope came untied, as just a long rope. I tied the ends together and it worked out great.The colors are vibrant and it feels brand new, felt like a little kid again as we played cat's cradle, used it as sling shots, turned it into a bracelets, and finally "jumped rope". Would definitely recommend getting it, might even buy a couple more for myself.

The material used to make these jump ropes are rough, similar to a cotton string. Can you imagine having a cotton string rubbing up and down your legs? Not very comfortable. When I played Chinese Jump Rope in elementary school the rope was smooth and very stretchy, like a satin elastic band. These jump ropes do not stretch much and they are scratchy. I can't even have my kids jump down on these ropes because the kids that have the jump ropes on their legs get rope burns from it. I would look for a different brand if I were you.

I bought this Chinese Jump Rope for my daughter last year (she was 11 at the time). She loved this toy and she brought it to school to play at recess with her friends every day until the teachers/aides told her not to bring it anymore. She continued to play with it at home and not only did her and her friends play regular Chinese Jump Rope, but they played Cat's cradle and other rope games with it and it's still in good shape after a year of use. Definitely a great value!

I ordered the jump rope in the hopes that my grandchildren would find the game fun and help them to develope some physical skills. When our family came together I intorduced the jump rope and a fun thing was that the activity became an interest to young and old. So it was a well shared gift on many levels.

This is a fun toy, however it's made pretty cheaply & broke very fast along the seam. As opposed to being made of one piece, it is glued at a certain point, when my daughter plays with it, it easily snaps at the glue and is no longer functional. I bought a few & just replace it.

This item is a fun jump rope. It was a great price colorful and it gets everyone in to the game not like other kinds of jump ropes I had a birthday party for my 12 year old and it was a great idea to invalve all the kids and tied the theam of the party together. It gets you moving and trying to learn new things it was made well even at this price. a good buy
