Briggs & Stratton 82V MAX Lithium-ion Battery Rapid Charger for Snapper XD Cordless Electric Tools

It works well and fast. It does make some noise while actively charging, but that doesn’t bother me at all. Important: Do NOT let it get wet! (And that goes for the batteries as well!)

Have Toro 82 volt mower, thought all 3 batteries had overheated and died because would only charge for 40 seconds, then click off. Bought this charger to see if it was my charger instead of batteries and it was. This charger worked great, just do not let it or batteries get too hot- I have been cooling batteries in refrigerator before charging, and keep a fan blowing on the charger at same time (over 100 degrees in my shed).. Very pleased did not have to buy new batteries.

Ordered this item and it doesn’t work. I just tried it this morning and realized that it doesn’t work or respond whatsoever and my return date opportunity has expired. I’m very disappointed and can’t even give this a one star rating but had to in order to post my comments.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect from this charger or from the batteries. I'm used to 20 volt batteries for drills and impact drivers so I have no experience batteries or chargers in high voltage ranges. I recall the drastic improvement from NiCad batteries and chargers to Lithium-Ion batteries and chargers. The differences were astounding. Longer use time, no degradation during use and quick charge cycles. In my opinion, the change to the higher voltage/current batteries and chargers is almost as drastic as the change from NiCad to Lithium-Ion. The charge time for the 82V batteries is almost identical to my 20V Cordless Drill batteries and that is from dead flat to fully charged. The charger indications are pretty much the same as other chargers but with one big difference. This charger has a cooling fan to handle the additional heat from the higher voltage and current. The fan goes off at the end of the charging cycle so you have another indication. The fan tells you that the battery is charging and if the fan is off the battery is charged. Impressive, easy to use and high quality. What more could you ask?

Loved this product for four years and then both chargers quit working. Not sure what the problem is. But even if I have to get a new charger, an average of $25 a year to run a clean, quiet mower is great!!

I have two 3.0mh batteries and I can charge them both in just an hour each. This charger is very very fast at charging. It does have a cooling fan but it's not so loud that it bothers me in the least. It can be mounter on a wal easily or just sit on a work bench or counter. Glad I purchased the rapid charger over a regular one.

I ordered a battery operated Snapper lawn mower that came with the Briggs and Stratton battery and charger. One year latter, the batteries stop charging. I ordered another Briggs and Stratton charger, and it worked, so I know the first charger was at fault. None of the local B&S dealers will take it, even through it is under warranty for 2 years and I have the receipt. They say the only service engines. Contacted B&S, which is very difficult to find out who to talk to, as I an not sure it was English they were speaking. Finally got someone to take my information, and after 1 week got a replacement charger. Now I have 2 working chargers.

I dropped my orignal charger and it wouldn't work. This replacement works great for charging the batteries on my Snapper 48 volt mower.
