Sturdy, solid garage shelving and excellent customer service
I don't usually write a lot of reviews but my experience with this order deserves a mention. I ordered a 72" and 48" wide unit at the same time. Shipping - be aware that each shelf is shipped in two packages, one with the uprights and one with the shelves and hardware. Amazon's tracking in this case leaves a lot to be desired. They tracked both shelves (4 boxes) as one order and once part of it was delivered, Amazon marked it all as delivered. Fortunately, the seller was a lot more helpful and sent me the tracking numbers for the undelivered boxes. My order came via FedEx. The packages with the uprights and crossbars are pretty heavy, more than 50 lbs for the 72" shelf and they can be a little awkward to handle. I received both packages for the 48" unit well ahead of the estimated schedule and I got the uprights for the 72" unit roughly a week before the initial estimated delivery. The shelving for the 72" unit came about a week after the initial estimated date and more about this in the Customer Service section below. Shelving Quality and Design - I am an engineer so I appreciate a well designed product. I had no problem with assembly except for one item which I'll get to in a minute. All parts were clean, no sharp edges, and the paint was excellent. There were a couple of extra shoulder bolts included which guaranteed that I wouldn't lose one. Usually if I have just enough bolts or nuts I'll drop one and it will roll under something immovable or bounce into another dimension, but with an extra I was assured of no problems. The 48" unit gets 5 stars all around. I dinged the 72" unit one star for assembly because the U-straps, bolts, and wingnuts used to hold the two 36" long shelves together and attach them to the frame took a lot of cussing and fidgiting to get them installed, especially on the bottom shelf which I put as low as possible. The shelves have to be exactly aligned and the wingnuts are difficult to get started and turn. But they are essential to making the shelf sturdy and I would not leave them off. I'd happily cough up a couple more dollars for a better system. Otherwise, both shelves were easy to assemble. I also like that the uprights are one piece, many of the competitors use a two piece system. I don't have one to compare with but I wonder if that would be as sturdy. For assembly you will want a 3/8" open end wrench (SafeRacks included a stamped metal one, but do yourself a favor and use a decent wrench), the included allen wrench is satisfactory although a better one with a handle will make it easier to get the shoulder bolts snug which is important in making the shelf sturdy. You will also want a rubber mallet to seat the crossbars (also important for sturdiness) and for the 72" shelf you will need two 7/16" open end wrenches for the middle braces and a #2 Phillips screwdriver for the U-strap bolts. These are not included. Adjustable wrenches could substitute for the open end wrenches but don't blame me if you round the corners of the nuts. There are also plastic caps for the bottom of the legs if you have a floor that you are concerned about protecting. Mine sits on concrete so I didn't install those. Customer Service - this is the real reason that I wanted to take time to write this review. I am usually leary of third parties selling on Amazon because it can sometimes take a while to resolve problems, although they do always get resolved. But, this seller (Eagle) responded to all my emails in the same day or next business day on a weekend, and was always informative and helpful. As noted above there was a problem getting the 72" shelving and the seller reordered the missing parts after I inquired about it. So, five stars for timely, helpful answers. I thought they were going to blow me off when I inquired about the replacement shipment and got a "seasonal shipping" excuse, but two days later I got a second email telling me they were able to expedite the order and I'd get it in a couple of days. I didn't ask for this so it was a happy surprise. And I was able to finish my garage reorganization and cleanout.

Great Heavy Duty Storage Rack
I was a little worried about ordering this after reading reviews saying all the parts weren't received or it wasn't worth the money. While I will say it's pretty expensive for a storage rack, I'll also say it is big enough to hold heavy storage totes. It was easy to put together - but I would recommend having two people. Putting together by only one person can and did make the process more difficult and likely took me 3xs as long (with the 96" width option). Currently this sits in our basement in a small storage area. I want to order 2 more units for the garage but am holding off as I purchased a little over a week ago for 329.99 and nine days later, the price jumped to 399.99. Costco has these for the price I paid originally, so I might get through Costco.com - yes, it's the exact same rack (saferacks). My only "complaint" is it would be really great if it had another shelf (for a total of 5), or if saferacks sold additional shelves and support rails on their website. Even with large 18-27 gallon totes, there is at least 8" clearance above the tote - an extra shelf would allow for 5 rows of tote storage - but I digress, I just have a lot of storage totes. Great item, heavy duty and can hold 2000 lbs total weight. Bonus - it's freestanding, so you don't need to anchor to the wall and disassembling to move to another location will be easy.

Amazing
I wanted my garage storage to be light & bright because our garage is small. Ordering white 18 gal totes from The Container Store to fill the shelves. These storage units are strong, well constructed, 24”D & 84”H which is perfect for maximizing my space & durable (no flexing mdf). I had a total length of 172” to fill so got two of one variation & one of the longer length variation. I live in SoCal & received them in a few days. Boxes are divided into the wire shelving & the frames(the heavier of the two). I put them together by myself yesterday & it took me a couple of hours to build all three. I built one to learn how they were constructed to minimize mistakes & maximize efficiency because the instructions are crap. I love these so much that I wanted to pass on what I learned to help you love them as much as I do. Get a nice sized mallet or hammer & cloth like I had to used to pound the shelving brackets into place & not mar their surface. The lip needs to face up. They will hold the shelves. The first row needs to start one hole up from the bottom (like the pic) so that the feet can go on. The brackets all have well thought-out, consistent, great quality construction so I had no issues moving quickly. I counted up 15 holes for the bottom of the next shelf & then 16 holes up for the bottom of the next. I would advise that if u get the longer shelving unit, construction is the same. But the center supports lip faces up & requires the larger bolts & nuts. They hand screw easily & only need a crank or two to tighten. Do that part before attaching the wire shelving because the space to work in is tiny. The U brackets secure the two parts of the wire shelving together & onto the lip of the shelf with the smaller nuts & screws. They also hand screw easily & I used a screwdriver to tighten. Good luck!!!

Great Rack!!! but the manufacture or seller should freshen up their documentation.
Great rack!!! Arrived far ahead of promise date, even with packages showing on different dates. Thing are super sturdy. Only negative comments I have is that the instructions are printed in black and white and the pictures look like they've been copied a number of times so there is not a lot of detail. Kind of like looking at a picture of a "BlobSquatch". Only defect was one of the wingnuts was stripped so I had to use a replacement I had hanging around. Some ideas: I think the seller would do well to post some HD Photo's of how the assembly details should look, or update their instructions. For customers I recommend the use of a socket and extension to hold pressure on the wingnut, while using a Drill or Screwdriver to tighten, when installing the rack to the frame. There is just not a whole lot of room to use your fingers on the left side of the bracket. Securing the rack is only provided in the center. It's not needed, but found if you don't have something on both sides they can kind of rattle a bit. I just used Zip Tie's to snug them down and make them quite. If you're going to fill the entire thing up, I would not worry about that part. Overall, with my wife helping I think it took a little over an hour from Box to Completion. The thing really looks good even after it is filled with all our stuff. We set this up between the 2nd & 3rd bay in the Garage and there is plenty of swing room for the car doors on both sides, but can't fully open car door. Thinking about installing some bumper material on the frame rail of the unit, just in case... Hope this helps!

Great garage storage unit.
A challenge to put together because it doesn’t fit exactly but managed to do it however, I’d recommend buying from someone other than Amazon due to getting into politics.

Terrific product
**Heads up** : Before you even start to build, make sure that you have all the pieces! Amazon delivered the three boxes (for the 8' long model) in multiple trips, so I initially thought I was missing a bunch of pieces. Once all the pieces were there I was able to build and install the entire thing by myself in less than an hour, although having a second person will *definitely* make this process easier. If you have basic tools and mechanical skills you can easily put this set together with the instructions provided. All of the hardware needed was provided (although there are no extras, so make sure not to drop or lose one of the tiny screw or nuts), and the directions were clear and concise, making this an easy job. The shelves are sturdy and stable, easily holding up hundreds of pounds of gear and finally clearing huge amounts of my garage floor space. Terrific product and great service!

Product not packaged for protection, poor quality
Shelving was easy to assemble, and seems to be sturdy.....but poorly constructed as well as packaged. Shelving grids were not manufactured within square, paint was chipped off, and pieces were bent when received. If the product is surely manufactured in America, then our standards must have lowered signifantly for this factory. I expected a better product for the price, but don't have the physical strength to re-wrap all the pieces and hand deliver it to the shipper to ship back.
