Fastronix Top Post Military Spec Battery Terminal and Cover Kit

These are really well made. If you are browsing through reviews, just stop an buy these. The metal feels thick and solid, so when you tighten them on there is no risk of cracking like the cheap ones. But you don't even need to tighten much, as they actually fit the battery terminals correctly without any extra modding (assuming your battery terminals aren't already damaged, and you put them on the correct side as they are tapered and different sizes +/-). The covers are also super easy to take off when you need to disconnect or jump the battery, but they are thick, and stay in place the rest of the time. There is space to easily fit 2 large cables to each terminal on the battery, just crimp your own ends. And when you do bolt those cables up, it is a separate bolt from the one which locks to the battery terminals, so disconnecting and reconnecting only takes about a quarter turn with the crescent wrench, and you don't have to take the cables off or anything, just lift the collar off the battery terminal.

The battery terminals are solid, well made and easy to install. The connection points and hardware are perfect for use of ring (M10) terminated battery cables. The covers are soft, pliable and east to manipulate with a good secure fit.

Havent installed yet, but seem to be excellent quality. Should work perfectly on my old plow truck.

These things are beefy and solid. Properly-sized for the battery posts and come with the necessary hardware. Great for beefing up or replacing the factory terminals, or adding additional accessories that can handle a good ring terminal. Don't buy the fake ones for a few dollars less, these are the real deal.

I've been adding some aftermarket lights and electronics to my older Toyota, the OEM battery terminals were at their absolute capacity. These make adding electronics an ease with the ability to ad spades to either side of the terminal. I was also able to add a 3g grounding cable to the negative with no problem at all. Compared to others I've tried these are absolutely sturdy and don't crack when you tighten them down.

This style of battery terminal with the through bolt is the best design of all terminals, without exception. There are many manufactures of this style, but I have repeatedly bought this kit due to a reasonable cost and nice covers. On some sets the negative terminal has been a bit tighter on the battery than I would like but poses no real issue. While there are higher quality lugs out there, this kit provides the best value for the money that I have found. While I use these on every application I can, my favorite is for converting Chevy trucks from sidepost to top post. For those that are needing new battery terminals and are not aware of the benefits of this design, there are many. First, and most obvious, is once the rings/lugs are properly installed and sealed onto the cables, these terminals can be changed when they wear out. With the lugs sealed on the cables, no moisture will find its way into the cables and thus prevent corrosion. The second benefit is multiple cables can be properly run straight to the battery. This is perfect for those of us running accessory circuits, especially high load ones such as winches. The battery terminal design with a stud and wingnut also sees most of these benefits, however there is no limit to the number or size of cables that can attach to the through bolt design. The through bolt design such as the product here allows the bolt to be tightened much tighter than one can with the stud design (the stud will break easily), preventing loosening. There is also the issue of vertical clearance with the stud design. Buy this terminal set, properly install and seal ring lugs to your battery cables and enjoy decades of trouble free service.

I've just made up cabling for my auxiliary battery, and used these terminals for the battery. They're nice. They're solid. They require a 1/2" wrench for the post-clamping bolt. They require a 9/16" wrench for the electrical cable lugs, on the 3/8" bolt. I buy 5/16" lugs to fit my vehicle's 8mm hardware, so when I encounter occasional 3/8" bolts like this, I simply drill my lugs for a larger opening. The internal taper was smooth and round for a nice fit to the battery posts - no sloppy machining nor oval-ness.

This is way overpriced, and not as shown in Amazon. Total waste of time and money.

The terminal itself it awesome... The boots just end up in the way and never seem to fit properly. Get the one without the boots and save a few bucks.

I bought this product and i got some generic chinese terminals. Its not made in usa like the listing says. Packaging is totally different, generic box, no part number that correlates to a fastronix part number anywhere. Generic Chinese product at a premium price.

Ideal for caravan leisure battery where additional terminals are needed for motor mover etc. Expensive but does the job.
