I have used this camera for 2 years. I regularly recommend it to others. The UI of the tapo app is easy to use. The camera is easy to set up. I have this indoors to view outdoors, never any window glare, no issues seeing at night. I have never had wifi issues with it, never had any battery issues with it. I have a memory card in it for playback and storage so no need to sign up to their cloud subscription but you can if that's what you prefer. Absolutely recommend them for quality, durability and value for money.

After having a YUI camera that near on useless these Tapo cameras are a blessing. No hassle with great picture quality for what is expected from a reasonable priced camera.

We may have used this Tapo Security Camera in a slightly unconventional way, but it's worked wonders! Instead of using it as a traditional dog or baby monitor, we decided to mount it next to our 3D printer, and it has completely changed how we monitor our prints. With a custom-made 3D printed mount, this camera now keeps a close eye on every layer as it’s laid down, and let me tell you, it’s saved us a lot of print failures. The 2K resolution means we can see even the small details of the print, which is fantastic for spotting any issues early. The motion detection feature has also turned out to be surprisingly useful, if something goes wrong during a print, we get notified before a full-blown plastic disaster can occur. And with the 2-way audio, I can even yell at the printer for misbehaving (not that it listens, but it makes me feel better). Night vision is another bonus since our prints often run through the night. It’s great to be able to check on things without needing to light up the whole room. It’s like having a 3D printing babysitter that doesn’t need sleep. If you're into 3D printing and want to keep an eye on those long prints, this little Tapo camera is a game-changer. Plus, when it's not on print duty, it doubles as a regular security camera, which makes it feel like a bargain. Highly recommend for those creative minds who like to repurpose tech!

First time using a pan/tilt camera, but not my first Tapo product. I'm deep in the tapo ecosystem, and just like my other Tapo products, the quality of this camera is excellent. It's simple set up/installation and the app is very user friendly. The picture quality is superb at 4k, however, this pan/tilt version has a smaller field of view than my other fixed tapo cameras. I've found that the pan/tilt to be decent for live monitoring. And has options to patroll, too, where it can auto pan to custom saved view points at set intervals. It works as it should, but you really have to be careful that you aren't trying to cover too much area with one camera. I've found it really easy to miss events when the camera is bouncing between viewpoints. For instance, if it's looking at the front of your house and spins to cover the garden gate, you'll obviously miss anyone arrivng at you house. The spotlight isnt the brightest either, especially if mounted up high. But the night vision, thankfully, is very good. No complaints with the video quality at all. One of the best I've had for night time footage. Overall, it's a good camera. Clear footage and clear audio, which are the things you need. I just find that the pan/tilt isn't really suited for my property, and depending on your property, may not be best suited for yours either. Depending where you point it, it can be really easy to miss important events. I'd recommend 2 or 3 static cameras over this. You won't be disappointed by the quality if you do get this one. But you should make sure you actually need the pan/tilt feature.

Upgraded to Tapo from the considerably more expensive Nest cameras. Quality is overall much much better. These also look sleek and smart and were a doddle to set up. The cameras integrate well with other tapo devices and the app is a breeze to use- if not quite as easy to scrub through footage. I do find these more reliable than the competition and the playback is always buttery smooth and free from jitters or dropped frames. We use these with memory card (and no subscription!) Saving us a small packet each month. A real win for affordability.

Perfect cameras for home use, very easy to set up and good quality, bought a memory card to go in it. Easy to view on my phone and i get a perfect view of the front and back of my house even through the window. I’ve also bought one for a friend who is very happy with it too

I love this camera so much, its small but powerful. Ive had mine around 6 months now and i have no complaints, the vidoe and sound quality is good, the memory is good. I have a sd card in mine which holds more film before it records over itself. With it being a plug you dont have to keep charging it. One thing i love about this camera is that you can set it so that when you are in the house the camera is not recording and when you leave the house it turns on. This is a function i set up immediately and its never failed me. For the price i couldnt recommend this enough, i now have a couple of other tapo products which are all controlled on my phone. So easy to use. Only downside is it can catch shadows and set off notifications but id rather that then it not work. It has a built in alarm that is really loud ( you can turn this off ) so if an intruder was in your home it will loudly alert them. You can also speak through the camera simular to a ring doorbell.

When I bought two of these the price delivered to my door was just $35(each), that’s $20 less than any local retailer. So if you get the UK socket to AUS plug adapter for less less than $10 it’s still a saving. After that the units have both performed faultlessly.

Gotta love TP-Link security cameras. They are affordable, feature rich and do the job perfectly. Whether it is this one or others in the camera product range, they just seem to work very very well. The downside is the cost of connecting to their cloud service (if you want to take that up) - it starts to get a bit pricey. You can always host you're own NVR and switch these to ONVIF. But I like the ecosystem and it definitely has a wife approval factor ticked!

Lo quería para vigilar a mi bebé. Para mi sorpresa, viene con enchufe de Reino Unido, pero como tengo adaptador e igual ha sido culpa mia de no fijarme, no le di importancia. Pero cuando la he instalado en mi app, resulta que la cámara viene con un punto negro en medio de la imagen. Hago devolución y compro a otro vendedor, ya que tengo otra cámara tapo y estoy encantada.
