These universal joint sockets are great quality and work well. I would recommend.

Im a professional mechanic. These have come in so handy over the years. Absolutely astonished by the performance. They remain strong when using them right. Lexvon tools are very durable and reliable. I have a few sets. Only down side is the 1/4 swivel isn't too strong. Broke it while torquing down a timing cover bolt. Not much pressure but I also used it to take off slide pin bolts/ nuts so that may have been what cause it to prematurely break. All and all they are a great set at an unbeatable price.

Usually pinless designs have a spring which pushes against the bottom of the socket mechanism ball...This mechanism is one piece and is rounded on the bottom which rotates on the spring...After much research I've discovered that the spring is usually the first item to fail as the spring wears and eventually get hung up where the pin goes through the ball and jams the rotation capability...Turns out this is very common...Ironically I tried a Husky unit and the spring jammed within 5 minutes of operation...This obviously is not normal for most brands, but still shows a design weakness... However, the Lexivon socket/ball mechanism is two piece with almost zero chance of the spring wearing out and/or jamming the rotation...Imagine a ball with a convex on one side and a matching concave on the other side...This ball is between the spring and the socket mechanism ball...The ball of the socket mechanism rides on the concave mechanism of the this ball, while the spring pushes on the convex side to hold everything in place...This design of ball to ball on the Lexivon allows for much smoother operation than the ball to spring on the others... I tested the Lexivon at full torque of 450 ft. lbs. with my impact and it showed no signs of wear whatsoever...Of course higher torque ratings might show different results...Maybe someday I'll run into a friend with a more powerful impact gun to test further...Would be nice if these companies would torque rate their impact sockets and other impact accessories... They have a lifetime warranty and from most reports Lexivon is very good at honoring them should there ever be a problem... I expect them to last for years as the quality is there... kd

I'm no tech but I have an impact wrench! I used the 1/2" with the gun, mostly low torque. I used the 1/4" and 3/8" with ratchets, the 1/4" with a screwdriver handle. All the joints worked as expected. No idea on longevity but I'm an occasional user and nothing broke so I'm happy. Better than the u-joint type universal joints I have.

It’s really well built. If you register it online, you get a lifetime warranty. I use the half inch everyday and it does great. Cant speak for the 3/8” or 1/4” yet.

Very handy to have, specially if you use impact gun and already broke all the ones that came with your tool set :) Cheap but strong, compact and fit in tough places. Its with spring action so after almost year of use it still holds its angle.
