Great content. Some cons that could easily be improved.
I really appreciate the content of this book. However, the pages are too busy. The pencil graphics at the top and bottom of the pages are distracting for my dyslexic reader. Also, the font is not easily ready for a dyslexic individual. The font should be simple such as a Sans font. This font appears italicized which is not ideal for a dyslexic reader. I wish there were more products with similar content. That said, I would still recommend this product, but I wish the author would improve this product in the ways I've listed.

Poor text and font for early readers
It’s engaging and interactive but there are misspelled words (seriously) and the font used is very difficult for early readers. Letter I looks like an L and lowercase K has a loop that looks like R. It should be a serif font for SURE. I have to write over these letters before handing it to my kindergartener. I like the content but where is the editing? Surprising for Orton Gillingham.

Terrible resource.
As a master’s level teacher and 90+ hour Orton Gillingham trained educator, this resource is unacceptable. I like the concept and the format, but the level of grammatical errors and misspelled words is atrocious. I was concerned when I received the book and noticed the errors on the back cover and hoped the contents were well-edited. I was wrong. Each passage has some sort of errors. Pictures are attached. Do not waste time or money on this resource. It needs an editor.

Typos/Errors, Bad font choice for emerging readers
Wish I had read the reviews closer!!Pros - the passages in these stories focus on explicit phonics skills (digraphs) and the difficulty increases steadily. I appreciate the comprehension questions and repeated readings.Cons - students can not work on these independently. The passages contain typos - for example, the word “shinning” instead of “shining”. This is really not acceptable being that this is a decodable phonics book and students will be confused when they decode that word correctly. Additionally, there is a question for a completely different passage within the questions for “Sasha’s Wish” - which is also confusing. Finally, the font is not appropriate for struggling readers.

Homeschooling
This is a great way for your child to practice blends, Answer comprehension questions, and build fluency.

Overly Repetitive and Badly Edited
There are obvious typos throughout the book. Even my child with ADHD and dyslexia was able to notice some of them. The graphics are inconsistent - some places where they ask the children to list words are large blank boxes, and others are tables with a box for each word. The activities are overly repetitive to the point of the child getting frustrated with the monotony.
