The fixture is beautiful. I had a contractor install it as I am not handy. I cannot comment if it was easy to install, but I didn’t hear him complain. I do have a ceiling that slants. It starts high on one end and then it gets lower on the other end. It was no problem to install being that my ceiling is not flat evenly across like your normal ceilings. The chords (I guess that’s what it’s called) is flexible, so it’s no issues for my ceiling. It is not a vaulted ceilings either. I have a 12 ft ceiling and it looks amazing in the bedroom. You can adjust the length lower or closer to the ceiling. I can’t say how long the chords are as I do not have the papers that came with it. The branch lights have to be opened like you would do a Christmas tree. After the contractor installed it, I got up on his very high ladder and began to open the (branch) lights how I would a Christmas tree and how I liked the branches to look. I didn’t open the branches before he installed it for fear it could break during installation. I do love this fixture. It was scary to buy it online without looking at it, but I’m glad I took a chance. Hope this helps. Delivery was quick too.

Love this light. It works perfectly in my living room/dining room combination. I had no unpleasant surprises and it arrived well before the expected date. I'm considering getting the flush mount version for my entrance hall. The only negative thing about ordering is that I saw this on the site for various prices over the few days I was considering a purchase. There was quite a large difference in price and on the day I had decided to make my purchase, it had gone up substantially. Luckily, I had saved it, a few days earlier, at a very reasonable price and managed to do my transaction at that price point. I probably would have purchased it anyway because it, in my opinion, is an attractive looking light, but it is always nice to feel like one is getting a good deal.

When I opened the box, I closed it right back up, intending to return it. I bought this fixture without reading reviews in advance. I couldn't believe that the box contents matched the beautiful photos of the assembled product. I read the reviews and decided to give it a go. Two hours for assembly is a modest estimate. The "crystal rods" are foil covered wires with clear plastic beads, similar to floral picks that you have to shape and spread apart. The fixture base looks like Sputnik with its nodules and holes. The rods are screwed into the fixture. The bulbs included are pushed into small sockets. The wired crystal sprays are spread and shaped so that the overall shape is an orb. I assembled mine on top of a cardboard box so the sprays could hang inside as I worked around. There will be additional shaping when the fixture is hung. The electrician had no issues hanging the light. I looked at fixtures for months before found this one. Chandeliers with a similar effect were many hundreds of dollars more. I purchased the medium size for a bedroom with a periwinkle ceiling stenciled with stars. It's beautiful!!!

This is an “almost great” chandelier in my opinion. Two things would improve it: first better (normal) bulbs. The ones that came with it were hideously bright. We replaced them with a dimmable bulb, but they are still weird, changing color as you change positions looking at the fixture. Second, the bright chrome ball - when the light is off it screams “cheesy.” However, it is a light, airy, crstal-ly fixture that is pretty. We have a new-to-us house and the owner’s taste was for heavier, dark fixtures, so this is a wonderful relief from a gigantic dark wood ceiling fan. It’s fun, different and overall I think it goes well with our artwork and style. P.S. No problem installing it, but that is due to our son-in-law who can do all such things easily.

The base of this light is sturdy and heavy. I know some reviewers felt the foil tape on the individual branches appeared cheap but my wife and I disagree. You barely can notice that design feature especially when the lights are illuminated. The only design problem I had is that I live in Florida so most of the light boxes in my house were designed for ceiling fans. The problem is that the screws on this light cover were located in the exact location of the bracket used for anchoring a heavy ceiling fan or light. The solution was to use only one thumb screw to hold the cover on and to glue on the second. Another non-design problem was the lights themselves. They are "daylight" lamps with an electric, whitish-blue color. We prefer "soft-white" with a warm, amber color. The seller gladly refunded me the cost of replacement light bulbs so I was more than pleased with their customer service.
