Found my hydraulic leak!
This and the black light that you’ll need made finding the source of a hydraulic leak very easy!

Awesome
Hard to find this stuff but by far the best on the market... very bright when using the correct uv light

For better or worse
Purchased this product (along with Uview 413010 Battery Powered, 6 LED Leak Detection Light) to diagnose a persistent oil leak on my wife's 2006 Kia Sedona. While the oil leak wasn't tremendous in volume, it had gotten everywhere and was making the job of determining the exact source of the leak quite difficult indeed. After placing a 1 ounce bottle of the tracer dye in the oil and driving around the neighborhood for a bit, I took a look with the detection light while wearing the yellow-colored glasses. Initially, the areas fluorescing were difficult to see. After turning out the lights in my shop, however, it was much easier to see and I was able to pinpoint the source of the leak.Since its initial purchase, I've been able to use this product often to help diagnose oil leaks for a number of other vehicles belonging to friends and family. For better or worse, my home shop has become the go-to place for friends and family looking to diagnose an oil leak before taking it to the shop for this purpose. Of course, the real money-saver for the DIYer is if you're willing to make the repair as well as part of the process. My only complaint (not related to the product) is the need to have the vehicle in the dark in order to adequately see there areas where the tracer fluid is fluorescing. There are probably stronger lights out there that would preclude this need, but for the price of the tracer fluid and the UV light, it's a small thing to have to turn off the shop lights for a bit in order to see the leak clearly.

1 Bottle per Auto
Open, place entire contents of 1 bottle in oil, run vehicle for 10-15 minutes to check for leaks. Works like a snap to quickly check those hard to find on your own traces of oil leakage. A little spent on leak dye can save you hundreds spent for a professional technician to find the hard-to-deduce leakage by themselves.

Works great/
Worked great in tracking down a leak on an oil pan gasket as well as a leak in a steering gear. I had a good blacklight flashlight and bought some of those yellow glasses but found that it worked better with just the blacklight by itself. A little goes a long way. Only used one bottle so far and have 5 more waiting for the day when I need to use it.

A huge help!
There was an intermittant odor of fuel coming from our car. I was able to isolate it to the engine compartment but was unable to locate the source. One ounce of this dye was added to the fuel and the car driven for a couple of days. When I looked around the engine compartment with the Uview 413010 Battery Powered, 6 LED Leak Detection Light (also 5*) that was purchased at the same time, an orange glow from the dye was quickly found between the cylinder banks. It was not obvious exactly where the fuel was coming out so I started the car and looked again. Under the UV light it looked like drops of molten lava were forming an dripping from the fuel pressure pulsation damper. Due to the location of this part, it was virtually impossible to see this drip under natural light. Once I knew where the leak was, the fuel drip could be felt but it certainly was not in an obvious spot. This model of car has a known weakness with the fuel vapor recovery canister. Several forums and online experts said that this was the obvious place to concentrate my search. I'm glad that I tried the UV dye and found that the problem was in a $30 part that 'Never' fails rather than starting out by replacing a $250 charcoal canister and finding no improvement in the situation!

Works as it should, awesome!
This stuff glows great with a good UV light, king of a bright orange. It's made in the USA! Dosage is on the box, I've added less and still got a good glow where the leak was. Pays for itself in efficiency in a shop when being payed by your billable hours. I will purchase again when needed, price is great compared to a single bottle at parts stores.

Glows nicely
Looks to luminescence very well. I’m trying to find the source of an oil leak that has evaded me for years (way too many gaskets/covers have been replaced!!!) on a 74 Chevy. Hopefully the big mystery will now be solved…..
