Great product - not sure why there are so many poor reviews
These are easy to install and work really well. I was dubious when I read the reviews but there didn't seem to be any other options. Basically I'm using my hue lightstrip on the underside of my kitchen cabinets to illuminate my worktop, and was having difficulty getting the lightstrip to 'turn the corner'. Mistakenly, I decided to cut it, thinking I could use the wire connector in the lightstrip extension pack to flex in the corner, and was dismayed that you can't reconnect a cut end. These connectors easily slide in to the cut end of your hue lightstrip, leaving you with a suitable end to insert the pins of another strip. I thought I'd need my boyfriend to help me with removing some of the sheath or doing some soldering or something, but you literally just slide it in. I wasnt too happy with the price, so I ordered "used - very good" condition from Amazon marketplace and there were no issues at all. The connectors don't have any adhesive on them so you may want to add a command strip or something. The brightness and synchronisation of the lightstrip isn't impacted at all by using these. Good product and easy to use. I think they're kinda overpriced for what they are, but obviously this brand has cornered the market, and saved me having to replace a ~£50 lightstrip so overall I'm happy.

Flawed but saved my lights, with a tweak
I thought for ages my light setup was a goner after my V3 lightstrips broke but with a few adaptors I managed to save most pieces, and these transformed my cut V3 ends into useable lights. With a caveat. Out of the box the connectors when closed did not press down enough and so some of the connections weren't making contact. Bending them wasn't enough to secure the connection so I improvised and now they work great. So here's my top tip. If yours aren't connecting very well, when you cut the plastic casing off the lightstrip, keep it. Then cut a small piece of it the size of the terminals inside the connector. It should fit snugly across and be about 2mm wide. Pop that inside the connector then close it shut (I used a small pair of pliers to click them in place as it is hard to do by hand with the extra piece of rubber/plastic in there). This made the connections all good and so now everything is working again. So they lose a star by not being quite firm enough to keep the connectors in contact, but I give 4 stars because they saved me buying a new 2m worth of extensions. They are pricey but if they work it is worth it.

Does what it’s meant to
Bought to connect two parts of a Philips Hue lightstrip. Works exactly as intended.

Absolute garbage DONT BUY!!!
Bought these to go with the Philips hue lightstrip plus (Bluetooth) and picked the V4 version ones. They simply do not work!!! Tried everything, watched videos all to no avail. Over priced junk! Don’t know who I’m more annoyed at… Litcessory for there expensive trash connectors or Philips hue for selling expensive lightstrips and for them not having there own connectors for sale.

Great idea let down by poor execution
To start I will concede that these are the only product that allows you to split a light strip and for that reason they deserve some credit. The mechanical design itself is good and as a prototype they almost work. I say almost. The plastic is too soft to create even pressure on the contacts with the result that only some or no LEDs light on the extension and they intermittently turn on and off. Holding and squeezing the connectors resolves things. Like others I had to cut bits of card and insert them under the light strip to pack them out and get an acceptable connection. To fix these they need to change the material or add some reinforcing as they just don't work properly out of the box - at 16 pounds for four that's not good enough.

Work great!
Daylight Robbery! But they work and are of decent quality. Just wish I could solder! Five stars because they do exactly as they’re supposed to

Great idea but poor quality
A great idea but unfortunately the product is not very well executed. The quality is poor for the price and the connections are tricky to get secure in the right place, leading to intermittent connections on my light strip. It's also hard to remove the 6 pin connector to make these into female ends - the pins fell out and bent on one occasion.

Great product
Does the job well on connecting Hue LED strips. Quite pricey for what it is. Overall great connectors and easy to use.
