These cars are *very* fast. Too fast for a child under 12- 14 years old to control. I think a lot these reviews don't understand what 30mph really looks like. Your 6yr old will break this. I bought 4 different Bezgar trucks (HM161, HM162, HM163, & HP161) for myself and my 3 boys for Christmas (2022). The HP161 is the fastest and most modern, however, it has plastic components in the driveline where the HP161S is an all metal driveline & brushless motor. This truck still does wheelies just fine though.These trucks can take a real beating, and as we've enjoyed them parts have failed. I find myself slowly turning this base model in to the upgraded version 1 parts order at a time. The Bezgar site has a good deal on them and as much fun as this truck is, I wish I bought the "S" for the extra $60 or $70.The HM163 would be my next pick as it has a full metal driveline & 1k mAh battery, but still a brushed motor.HM161 / HM162 are essentially all plastic, 750mAh battery, and the same frame with different bodies. Although upgradeable, you could start off higher up the ladder for a similar price with the HP161 or HM163.Hope this helps! Have fun!

Great product for the price!!!It’s tiny but has a lot of power. The controller has a steering trim and speed switch built right in, as well as an auxiliary button for controlling the extra plug for lights. Shock towers are screw adjustable and the spoiler and bumper are built into the frame/chassis for extra support when you roll or crash. Perfect for a beginner, but good enough for an expert to have fun ripping around. The battery lasts for 15-20 minutes at full throttle. The led lights are pretty bright and helps you see it at night. It’s durable, I’ve crashed and rolled a few times and nothing broke, but spare parts are super cheep. 12 dollars for a motor, 11 dollars for a speed controller or servo, 7 dollars for front control arms (the part that breaks the most on these things) I’m looking forward to trying out the other models Bezgar has to offer👍

I am a mom of 3 boys I have bought my share of RC cars, boats, and drones over the years and this one beats them all!! The car was bought for a 10 yr old boy and it is super fast!! Range is amazing. We bought a total of 3 RC cars and our neighbor has a few too and we set up road races. This one wins almost all the races. The most amazing thing though is the durability. My son accidentally drove the car under my Sienna while I was pulling in and the car went under one of my wheels. Amazingly the car still works, we just have to replace 2 tires and when I checked the price on Amazon they were reasonably priced. I am shocked it still works!! I am a customer for life - price was amazing for the quality of the product!!

This car is great. It can really take a beating. I've sent it off ramps, crashed it countless times, slammed into walls/chairs at full speed and one time I accidentally ran it into a deep puddle halfway up the car body and it didn't have any problems from any of that. Only goes about 20 - 25 mph but that's more than enough to drift and still have alot if fun.

My son was thrilled to open this on Christmas. One minor issue. Both shells were destroyed on the first day of use, and I am having a hard time finding replacements. Will any 1/16 she'll do, or what can I do to replace them? I see a lot of replacements needed in the future. Hahahaha. Otherwise, this is an excellent RC car and an excellent shop to buy from.

I love this thing. Well made, fun to use, and looks great. Bezgar built this HM162 off of the tried and tested haiboxing 16889/16890. These are tough little rcs and so many replacement/upgrade parts are available everywhere. The only 2 issues i have with it are the shocks and the tires. The friction shocks are terrible. getting some oil shocks for it is a must. The tires do not come with tire foams and they are pre glued so installing foams is an absolute pain. The tires also have very poor traction on unpaved Surfaces.The gears and axles are all plastic but they are holding up just fine. I plan on upgrading to metal components once things start to break.For now upgrading to oil shocks and new tires is all I have planned.

The media could not be loaded. My son has loved this and rekindled some memories for my childhood and getting my first RC car. This is hobby grade. very well built and love that you can swap out the shells and comes with spare battery and basic tools to repair.You can easily change the power from the controller, but in no time, my son was on full power and wanting to build jumps. very fun and good battery life (about 20 mins) for plenty of fun. Love Bezgar!
