A great decision !
Yes, indeed it was a very good decision we took to buy an AirFryer. The volume too is perfect for our family too and should definitely be sufficient for a family of Four.Reduces oil consumption to near Zero levels with no change in taste, thus a healthy product.I toast my bread too (without applying butter) and believe me they come out better than the Bread Toaster.

Review : Phillips Air Frier.
Like every product, it has its pros and some areas of improvements. Trying to list them below.Good:1.Really healthy option to have "fried" food.2.Excellent at heating up food as well ( Dry foods ) . I tired heating up refrigerated Paneer 65 ( 10 mins, 180 Degrees ), they turned out really crunchy and soft.3.Any non veg product cooked turns out really juicy inside.4.You can have food without the guilt and bad health affects. If you look at it, Chicken wings/Drum sticks or Fries are not actually BAD for health themselves, but they are deep fried, what makes them bad. Now you can have all the goodness minus the oil ! that's Guilt free munching your favorite stuff !:)5. Nice shape, looks and build solid. Takes only a little more space than a toaster.6.Very less noise !! a BIG Plus.7.No Odor/smoke..only a mild pleasant smell of the food your cooking.8. Comes with auto shut timer and sound alarm. No need to sit in front of it anymore.9.Keeps the food warm inside for sometime all by itself until you open it.10. Perfect for single persons / Couples /Small families . A bottle of oil to make fries at home would be such a BIG waste of money and Oil, not to mention the stickiness and bad smell.11. Not anymore the "Why I eat this s***" feeling after the meal due to that excess oil in your stomach :)12. Massive Oil savings. Takes a table spoon of oil to make fries for two !13. Uses Super heated air, NOT MICROWAVE. Ever tried searching in net, if your microwave destroys the food value of foods ?? ;) check it out !Areas to improve:1. Comparatively Smaller Size of basket makes it difficult to server multiple ppl in one go ( More than 4 ppl ).2. if you don't have a dishwasher, you may have trouble washing the grill and the bin, as its written not to use even a sponge scrubber to clean it.3.You need power backup at your home. No light, no fries ! :)4. be careful not to push the basket release button the the bottom tray may fall. The product Comes with a Red Warning tag for that.5.Cost can be a factor to some. its a bit in the higher side.6. The spectrum of foods can be cooked in the frier is a little limited at the moment.Who should have it ??Those who loves to have fried stuff, but can't or feels guilt due to that liter of Oil in it.Households looking for a healthy alternative to oil fried food.Final Verdict:When it comes to crunchiness and Taste and bad health, NOTHING can beat deep oil fried food. but this Air frier comes the closest to beat that record !! :)

Solved my problem of restrictions in eating fried food.
I like fried snacks and recipes but being on the higher side of the weighing scale i am compelled to avoid my temptation.I zeroed on Phillips airfryer as it was the pioneer in this segment and the name associated attracted me to this fryer but simultaneously its cost repelled me from purchasing it. However, Amazon shopping made it easy for me to purchase it during the great shopping festival as it cost me around 8,000/-rupees effectively.Initially on the first day of use it felt as if i am doing something out of the world, but the second time onwards using the airfryer was a cakewalk for me.It is necessary that every one who is new to this concept like me, go through the instruction and recipes booklet at least ones so as to get accustomed to its use as well as plan the temperature settings for recipes for the ones not described in the booklet.I prepared potato fries as mentioned in the booklet on the first usage. The next i prepared airfried 'paatra' ( these are rolls of colocasia leaves stuffed with spicy tangy filling) and it came out crispy. I have attached a photo herein of the same. The next i fried some readymade fryums but these didn't turn out well but could be consumed as they were crunchy and brittle rather than crispy. But i will try it again. Then during Deepawali i roasted peanuts and these came out well alongwith the aroma similar to the ones we get with chaatwaalas but being clean and hygienic unlike on the streets. The best thing is i then tried with karanjis which are known as gujiyas and as nevri elsewhere, in the airfryer and it was cooked exceedingly well , else this thing consumes a lot of oil when deep fried and also there is a problem of the oil getting turbid if it bursts at the seams as then the stuffing oozes out in the oil. This problem was completely solved by the airfryer . i prepared these using the samosa frying instructions in the booklet supplied. So in general i am happy with the purchase in relation to its quality, price as well as the versatility. The taste of the air fried snacks are different from the regular oil fried ones, but one has to adjust to it. The main purpose of our purchase is to avoid the oil for our health , so a taste variant is better for me rather than a health hazard.

Good airfryer
Went for Philips airfryer after researching a lot. These days airfryers starts even below Rs.3.5k. Yet this one makes sense due to its good performance, sturdy built, easy handling and neat look. The detachable pan is super useful to toss fries in between air frying. It is easy to clean also. If you have higher budget, go for digital one. This machine has an analogue timer and produces a continuous ticking noise while working. Also once we rotate knob to set time, let's say 10 mins, we cannot rotate back. It needs to complete fully - to stop, either we need to turn off switch or take out the pan (timer will run to completion in the background). I wish I knew this before my purchase. Anyway, I've come to peace with it and it's not a deal breaker.

Works great and as advertised
This is the the first air fryer I have used so I don't know if its right for the price, but if you have the budget go for itAlthough a big the problem with the controls is the knobs are sorta bent inwards like a cone so it's hard to match the reading and select your settingAnd the timer seems a bit sus in accuracy to me cuz I have yet to let it finish, my food's always done before it even after selecting a conservative timeThe handle seems flimsy but it has a weight limit of 800gms so ig it's designed for that
