Great starter sewing kit
This is a very cute design. I bought this as a starter sewing kit for my 8 yr old granddaughter. I myself am a skilled sewer. Of course it requires supervision at this age but we both love the design as well as the interaction to work on this together over several visits. The instructions are very straight forward and the product is pretty good quality. It does take a several hours to put together but the young sewer is exposed to pattern making, high quality learning, following instructions, and a cute end product. Very nice.

Very recommended! And also the service is great
My daughter really loves it and the quality is good. And also, we lost the instructions after a year and I sent them email and they sent me the instructions!

Cute, but complicated
Very cute Llama, just complicated to sew together. I bought this for my 8 year old, and had to do most of the work for her. Everything is do it yourself, it just has the pieces cut out. So you have to sew together the legs, ears, face, saddle, everything, and then sew together 3 pieces for the body along with all of those.

Fun for a child learning to sew.
This was for a 5 yr old & she loves it. So many different, fun items to make! Depending on age, the child may need help and supervision from an adult for some projects. There is a plastic needle and two metal ones. We started with the plastic one. It’s a great present to get kids crafting, sewing and staying busy. Plus, they’ll have lots of “me-made” crafts/items to be proud of, keep or gift.

Bad instructions
The instructions on this are almost impossible. Once you can finally figure it all out, and the figure is put together. It is cute. I did not use the embroidery yarn that came with it stitch it. I used a regular needle and thread. It made life a lot easier.

Too complicated-Not for children
Not a beginner project. I just got my teenage child into sewing and with this project he threw his hands up and walked away. To start there is only 1/16” seam allowance. Half of the project is stamped felt so thin your fingers go through it and it’s ruined. The remainder is due that sheds constantly and is a mess everywhere. The directions are pictorial and worse than IKEA. He was so excited when we ordered it and after he pulled everything out, so frustrated he put it aside. Don’t buy it. Your child won’t want to see after this.

Nice addition to the house
This was nice and easy for me. It was relaxing after completing a very difficult craft. Its face has a friendly off beat look. We love it. A child could make it and feel rightly proud.

Not as Easy as it Sounds
I’m 33 and have been wanting to explore some new hobbies, so I stumbled across this while shopping for a birthday gift for my niece, and selfishly bought it for myself as a way to practice patience and creativity. It definitely delivered on that front! That said, the directions were basically useless. I had to guess my way through the entire project. It took me a couple of weekends, sitting for hours, to get this silly thing put together. I actually had to take it apart and redo it because the instructions were so unclear. Some of the material pieces didn’t have the holes properly cut, so forcing the oversized plastic “needle” through was a true test of my frustration tolerance. I honestly can’t imagine a small child managing this without a meltdown! (The small child in me definitely had several) In the end, I got it assembled and now proudly display it as a trophy of perseverance. But would I buy it again or gift it to someone else? Absolutely not LOL!
