I purchased some of that hanz de fuko claymation and I couldn’t get on with it. It was rock hard in the pot. So thought I would give this a try. A nice more creamy clay type consistency which I prefer. A little appears to go a long way. Just a bit rubbed into hands then hair gives some texture and a bit of hold. I would say it is more texture than strong hold but prefer that. So really pleased with it.

Ok in very small amounts but then does not do the job..If I use the normal quantity it just makes my hair stiff

I wanted a moulding paste however this is a wet, runny, sticky substance. It made my hair limp not adding body and volume. Not impressed.

I'm a Murdock barbershop customer and have had my hair cut at the Monmouth Street branch for many years. I've used many of their own-brand products and have been shown how to properly use them by my barber, Miles.The paste is pretty liquid, and you don't need much. If you apply it straight to your hair in a blob, it will dry white as other reviewers have mentioned. Place the amount you want into your palm, work it between your palms and fingers and then apply to your hair. I've never had a problem with white looking hair when applying it properly (despite my grey bits!).Hold is pretty good although I do sometimes use a tiny bit of hairspray on my fringe in addition. This is a matte finish product but it will be a bit shiny if you apply it to hair that is not dry. It's definitely not a high street brand and I like being able to use a small amount whilst having matte finish.Packaging is like the rest of the range and stops the paste from drying out. For travel, the container is a bit annoying because the contents gets all over the inside of the lid but it's not a big deal. Stays tightly shut.Fragrance is good and each pack tends to last me 6-8 weeks with at least daily use.
