Of course not. It’s very easy for anyone to operate. I just think anything for a kitchen is often associated with women. Men cook too, and operate any kitchen appliance or instrument in their kitchens. One of my sons has been doing Sous Vide cooking for years and has talked me into getting doing Sous Vide process to cook meats that are so moist. As far as this unit, it’s just for vacuum sealing bags for freezing food or to Sous Vide. Anyone can operate this unit. It’s so darn easy. No worries for men either.

That's what the clips are for. Sous Vide cooking is cooking food placed in a plastic bag suspended in water. The clips hold the bags in place on the edge of the container.
