Whether you want to create sweet deep cave-like reverbian lanscapes or just add that pro touch to a drab amp sound, this EHX pedal has got the lot - and then some - with the added reverse reverb switch. Trip out to the soundscapes and slap yourself on the back as the notes come right back atcha - before you have finished playing them! In short, this Holy Grail Max pedal works to the max. Buy it now.

Absolutely perfect! What else can I say. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and sounds fantastic. I play in a Beatles tribute band so there are definitely times where I need some added reverb outside of my amp's internal reverb. I put the Holy Grail Max at the end of my effects pedal board chain and it sounds amazing. The whole band thinks so. Since I'm mostly playing early 60's music, I've got it set to the spring reverb setting which sounds incredible. Very, very, similar to the reverb in my Deluxe Reverb tube amp. The plate reverb setting is also amazing. Tough to decide between those 2 settings. Going with the spring reverb setting for now. One thing to note, unlike some other guitar effects pedals, when you step on this pedal, you will NOT notice a drop in volume. It just adds a beautiful layer of reverb into your tone. Love this pedal. This is my first Electro-Harmonix pedal, and I'm very impressed. I've been using fx pedals for about 40 years, and this one is a winner!

Just got this so am only basing this off of one solo session but man oh man it sounds great. Got it mainly because I was intrigued by the reverse mode and wanted to see how it synched with the reverse mode on a DD7. Thought vids of the Hall of Fame seemed a little digital or something. Didn't really consider other types. Also saw Sir Richard Bishop (of Sun City Girls and Rangda) using a Holy Grail of some sort, so I was sold since his tone seems perfect to me. Really pleased with a tour around the settings. At the end of the pedal chain, it seemed to unexpectedly work as a noise suppressor -- some hum I was getting recently seemed dampened, while the overall tone seemed improved. Looping some volume pedal swells with a 100% filtered Rat and MXR Univibe vibing hard and some delay in front of the reverb on a variety of modes created gorgeous interstellar territory to explore, lead-wise. Looking forward to living off this pedal for many many years.
