bareMinerals Bare Escentuals Original SPF15 Foundation with Locking Sifter 8g, Deepest Deep, 8 Fl Oz

I love this product normally but somehow this particular shade, although my normal shade seems lighter. Maybe the formula mixture was off a little. In still satisfied and I'm still using it. It doesn't look bad or anything. It covers well while looking natural and it has a lite CV feel not heavy at all. I can even sleep with it overnight on my face and no blemishes in the morning. I love it! Four stars because shade is a little off.

I'm very fair-skin Asian and it's hard to find a product line that doesn't clog my pores and make me break out. I've always loved the Bare Minerals product line. I've tried everything from Lancome, Clinique, various Korean, Chinese, and Japanese product lines. But I returned to Bare Minerals Golden Medium Original Foundation and have been using it for 10+ years. I use lots of Asian oil blotting paper every day (even now as I am in my mid-30's), the Neutrogena oil-blotting paper line just doesn't cut it. So when I discovered the new Bare Minerals Matte Line I was very excited.I went to the Bare Escentuals website and based on their picture of an Asian woman I thought I was Golden Tan. Spent $30 to discover that the shade made me look like I was sunburned to a crisp. I kept it because it works great for shadow affects on the cheeks to make my face look slimmer.So I spent another $30 and bought Golden Medium, my original shade. This shade was too dark as well. I couldn't understand why Golden Medium Matte is DARKER than Golden Medium Original Foundation. It gave me this unnatural brownish tinge to my skin.I tried to make the Golden Medium Matte lighter by mixing it with Bisque (from their Multi-Tasking Line). It made it a little better but I had to use A LOT of Bisque to quiet down the brownish tinge affect. I don't understand why they would change the shades for Matte.So now I'm back at Amazon and hopefully 3rd time is the charm and I'm going to try Light Matte Foundation. But this has become a costly and expensive process. If you have light Asian skin tone like me, beware, the shades are not what you think. Might have been better if I went into Sephora to test-try it before buying. Of course hind-sight is always 20/20. I wish Bare Escentuals mentioned the shades for the Matte Foundation line and the Original Foundation line are different.As for the Matte affect, I still have to use oil blotting papers, just not as many.

My friend was after me to try it for years and tried to tell me how easy it was to apply. I was very scared but once I tried it and saw the coverage the natural look, the feel on my face and how fast it took to apply and make it look so smooth, I never looked back. It doesn't need to be reapplied. I put it at 6:30 AM and I look the same at 8 PM without having to do anything. That for me is excellent! I use a shade lighter under my eyes with the small long brush and then with the buffer I apply it everywhere else on my face. It covers my rosacea and any redness that I may have. People always compliment me on how smooth my face is. It's this foundation. You don't feel it on your face. The only thing I add on top of the foundation is the blush on my check bones. Don't forget to also get the mineral veil. Use the illumininating since it is the finishing touch and provides a slight shimmer.

Good product, but you should watch the videos on how they tell you to apply or you may think "What the hell!" First thing, build it, resist the temptation to use a whole lot the first time. Keep blending and building until you get your desired finish. If you apply too much the first time, you will look ashy... its weird like that. But if done right, it is absolutely beautiful.

this sucks. does not go on evenly. it's horrible. i have to rub my face to get it to blend somewhat.

The color is good, but the coverage is not even, though I'm using a quality kabuki brush.

I was using Sheer Cover mineral powder until someone made me try BareMinerals. Now I have been using it for at least 5 years, consistently. The coverage is incredible and doesn't feel like I am wearing makeup. The size of this item seems to last me for almost a full year, even using it everyday!

If you're familiar with Bare Minerals then you will know this is the real deal. It does not moisturize (thank goodness)!

used this foundation for a few years never clogs never cakes stays put even in uk hot weather

Golden in colour blends in lovely looks great

Would be fine for summer when you already have a bit of a tan or ok over liquid foundation just to set it, but didn't find the coverage adequate enough on its own.

I chose this product because its excellent, the coverage and finish are brilliant, this pot didn't come with the promised locking sifter so its not one for the handbag unfortunately.The price was fab though.
