JUST WHAT I NEEDED
I,m what you might call a bit of a geriatric computer guru. I have no less than ten computers in my office/ come sound and video studio - some used for work (I'm the dogsbody for a Christian Bookshop) - the others used for my hobby (sound and video). The ones that get used most are for work (sadly), but they MUST work together efficiently and reliably since I have very little time to faff around sorting out problems, let alone my own mistakes of which there are many! This is where this USB 2.0 Switch Selector, 4 in 4 Out USB Printer Sharer Switcher Hub 4 PC Sharing 4 USB Device by Aimos comes to the rescue. I recently purchased from Amazon one of their refurbished Dell 3020 computers with W11 and an SSD hard drive installed (brilliant), with a view to using it for book keeping with VT Cash Book, with MTD in mind, since no longer would I be able to use my over twenty years old Compaq running Windows 98 perfectly, but, of course with no safe internet access. This meant that I needed to share at the least four computers with two printers (not including the Compaq in this). Well, thanks to this excellent switch, I can now do so, and not only the two printers but a wired keyboard and mouse - doesn't work with wireless for obvious reasons. This makes my workflow so much more smooth and convenient. The only problem I have experienced is when one of the printers goes to sleep (both are Canon). When this happens the keyboard and mouse go to sleep too! The answer seems to be to switch off the printers and their power supply, and go back to whichever computer is in service by pressing the buttons on top of the switch, and usually everything works again - few!!!An excellent product, which I hope will give many years of excellent service. It's helped me a lot - well worth a try for the price (very reasonable). Well done Aimos!

Make sure you disable power saving in device manager
IMPORTANT: If you're getting connectivity issues with this device it is most likely the power saving mode kicking in. On Windows, go to device manager, find Universal Serial Bus and in each of entries, right click and go to properties. For the entries that have a "power" tab, go there and disable allowing windows to disable the device to save power.I took a punt with this as I already had an auto HDMI switch so buying a KVM for 3 computers was a waste of money. I like that it has a remote because the whole point of these switches is to reduce clutter. This is USB 2.0 so don't expect blazing fast speeds or for it to be able to provide much power. But for an RGB keyboard, wireless mouse, wireless headset and a webcam, this little device does fine, albeit some teething problems (see above).I gave 4 stars because the battery cover on the remote is pretty flimsy and comes off quite easy but for £20 I can't expect too much. The light indicators are a little hard to tell apart as one light seems to light up all the holes, it's only obvious when looking straight down at it.Overal though, decent little device, worth the money.

Unreliable and headed for the bin!
Big problem using it as a keyboard switch: omits keystrokes and occasionally gets stuck on a key and press it repeatedly. It's been getting progressively worse since I got it to the point where it's going in the bin. This is with an Apple Wired Keyboard switching between a MacBook Pro and a couple of Linux PCs.Medium problem: the LEDs are useless if you have it tucked away (and why have a remote if it's not tucked away). The LEDs for each PC are not visible as intended unless your viewing angle is more than 30 degrees above the horizontal but the light does escape from the gaps around all the selector buttons so at least two will appear to be active if the angle is less than that.Minor problem: the ordering of the ports is 4-3-2-1 left to right. The ordering on the remote is (from 12 O'clock clockwise) 3-2-4-1. Makes no sense at all.

Solidly built and works perfectly
Solid metal construction, comes with 4 USB input cables and a surprisingly good quality remote control that works very well indeed. I use this wonderful little box to switch the inputs of 4 different PCs into a single USB 3.0 hub. This allows me full access to any one of the 4 machines using just a single wireless keyboard and two large monitors. Range of the remote control is excellent. It works flawlessly. I heartily recommend it for this and similar purposes.

Ok, for what it is, but intermittant
Product is ok, for the most part it does what it is meant to, however all to often it takes multiple attempts for it to change and now after 6 months two buttons switch to the same PC, so guessing the buttons are not that good a quality. Would happily spend more to get same thing but with better build

Just what I wanted.
I have three computers running at a time. By using this product I can switch the keyboard to the active computer. The remote is very useful as I don't have to reach out to the control to switch computers.

Connection droopouts galore, not fit for purpose!
This is utter C&4P!It worked fine for about 7 weeks and since then it has started to disconnect for about 5 seconds then reconnect, than sometimes disconnect again. All I was using it for was to share keyboard and mouse between my home PC and my work laptop, I say was because it is now on it's way to the local recycling center. Maybe it wil work better as paperclips or something... surely it can't mess that up... right?Total waste of money :-(

Works as designed, poor quality remote
It was very easy to set up, cables are an appropriate length and seem to be of a suitable quality. The switch is small and unobtrusive and seems robust. The only negative at this time is the quality of the wired remote control (picture included). Despite being well packaged along with everything else in the box, it looks like it has been damaged or has been used before. Really a bit of a let down to what would otherwise have been a 5 star review. Also, the sequencing of the numbers on the remote is unusual and doesn't lend itself to a typical order.

Fuktioniert ... manchmal

No messy desk anymore
Works great with keyboard and mouse. Nice and convenient wired remote. Can easily put all wires under the desk out of sight.

Waardeloos product
