I bought these to use with battery powered automatic LED lights. The lights came with an adhesive strip and had a magnet attached so they could be attached to a steel surface. The problem is that to attach them to a non-steel surface one would need to use the double-stick adhesive pad. Then to change the batteries one would have to tear off the adhesive. I used these to attach to the wood surface and use the light's magnet to attach to the disk. Works great! The adhesive is plenty strong to hold the lights and it is easy to replace batteries now.

I applied the magnetic dots to 2 phones, after properly coaching the phone cover. The magnet detached from the phone writing minutes when used with magnetic car holder. Used different brand in the past and it held 2+years. This was bought for a new phone and it's terrible
