No Fluff Here!
This book literally has you acting on setting yourself up for business from what you MUST do before putting out the open sign so to speak to a day in day out plan of how to stay abreast of getting, maintaining, and growing success. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it sets out to do and more.In choosing to acquire this book you will have a motivational itinerary set out before you from someone who's walked the talk. It will galvanize you into action. You will BE a writer from the moment you get to the detailed chapters on setting up, including a wonderful section on the sometimes evasive topic of branding, onto the literal Day 1 break down of your first day launching your "Empire." Sam Kerns leaves nothing untouched about what HAS to be taken care of before putting yourself out "there" with many links to sites where you put in bids as well as find publications & organizations that love to hear from freelancers. He addresses many concerns you may have thought about in relation to hiring writers and many that may not have crossed your mind. His approach to hiring writers is very sincere in wanting to assess things fairly for everyone involved including rewarding beyond what's agreed upon when warranted. He helps you to know that there are factions in the writing world who fit the profile of being hired to write without having to do the work of accumulating and maintaining clients. Whether they are looking for a way to begin in the industry or just want some enjoyable work from home that affords them flexibility and additional income or the student looking for some meaningful work. There are plenty of people with the writing bug waiting for this opportunity you can give them and Sam Kerns shows you how to do this as he addresses concerns that unfortunately need addressing. If you're wanting a great resource that enlightens you on the world of being a freelance writer or if you already are one and have been searching for a sound and very well spelled out plan on getting to the next level, this is a must for your library.Concise, descriptive, informative, honest and a major leg up to creating your domain in the world of freelance writing with thoughts of expanding your passion for writing to the areas you long for with your new found time this book will put into your life. I give myself 5 STARS for money and time well spent. I'm ahead of the New Year's Resolution game. In fact, this year it's not a game. It's a living breathing path to fulfillment now that I'm armed with this quality action and information packed guide!

If you want to grow a flourishing writing business and make a living, READ THIS TODAY!
As someone who has built a brand, sold it successfully (and is currently building another), I cannot say enough about what is presented in this book. First, Mr. Kerns clearly and painstakingly defines a process many in the sales world would call automation... and let me just tell you that to build something sizable in this day and age, something that will actually support you financially, this is tried and true. Rarely have I read this level of detail, at this or higher price points, and I have invested significant funds over the last decade on coaching and education to do what the author so carefully explains. This is a real, honest, workable plan. Not for the faint of heart, building an empire of any kind requires complete dedicated WORK and focus. Anyone who tells you that you can build and scale a legacy like this AND produce significant financial returns without thinking strategically enough to leverage outside people as valuable resources, compensating them for their part in the process, while using your time for the bigger picture parts of scaling a business, is trying to sell you something else, and after years as an entrepreneur I have yet to see a professional who chooses to do it all himself grow and scale with any speed. While this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review, I can confidently say that I would purchase this title for the cover price as it is worth every penny, and then some.

Not What I Had Expected
It’s definitely building a writing EMPIRE, but not quite how I would like to do it. Good writer, but the content wasn’t what I expected. I wouldn’t recommend this book to someone who wants to do the writing work themselves.

Empire Building for those who are willing
In the second book of Sam Kerns' Work From Home Series, we are treated to a very thorough expansion of Chapter 7 of How to Work From Home and Make Money: 10 Proven Home-Based Businesses You Can Start Today (Work from Home Series: Book 1) . While this particular home-based business was not one of the ideas that interested me the most in the first book, I was hoping that I would take away some pertinent information regarding laying the foundation of building my own type of empire. My efforts were rewarded as Kerns covers topics such as the blending of priorities and goals, protecting your empire (some details are different, however, the principles are sound in any type of business), and other advice that would serve various other disciplines. Even if your goal isn't to build a Writing Empire, there is a wealth of information provided that carries over to whatever entrepreneurial path you decide to take. Highly recommended!

This book was fantastic! I can't wait to get started on my own writing projects. It's a step-by-step guide to taking my writing skills as far as I want to take them. It's also a guide to working as much (or as little) as I want to work. Best of all, it's a guide to making as much money as I want to make. Bravo!Anyone who says this book is only about outsourcing obviously didn't read the first half of the book. Yes, multiplication equals more income, but you have to have a foundation beforehand. Read it from cover-to-cover before you start. I'll check back here in a few months to let everyone know how I've progressed. Right now I have to go get started.

Not what I expected
I was a little disappointed by this book. I purchased his novels about publishing and marketing a book on Amazon and loved the information so much, I also purchased this book. I'm writing a fiction novel but as I was reading the book, it only spoke in terms of being a freelance writer, etc. I will continue to finish it in the event that I'm missing something here. Luckily his books are short and straight to the point
