We use these on our Ebikes at the beach and suit our needs.Pretty clear.As far as distance we usually stay within a few hundred feet of each other.

The radios work, and at the price point, there is not a lot to complain about. It comes with 2 radios, the batteries, and a dual-USBN charger, with two cables. However, it came with USB-A --> USB-C cables, and the radios require mini-USB (not micro; mini - a *really* old style port). Fortunately, I have a drawer full of them. But if you order the radio, you might want to order a mini-USB cable if you do not already have one.

Great quality, battery lasts long, performs great, sound’s very clear, and above all, range is awesome!

i used them in a mine. hard rock, the signal bounced inside and bent around and around, out of line of sight. was very cool indeed to communicate around corners. line of sight with lots of wood timbers, the signal was not so good, in fact terrible, the wood absorbed the signal. you can not tell how much battery life you have and does not tell you when the battery is charged. or mine are defective.would buy again for the money.UPDATE: 6/2023. The directions are not very good. When you charge it, the red light comes on, off when charged, kinda obvious. when you turn it on and the battery is low, it will say check battery. the battery does seem to last a long time. As there is no battery monitor, i wish it did. no way to know battery level.

I got these to use with my dog when camping and hiking. Velcro a radio to her harness, and then call her back to me. The first problem is that when you first turn the radios on, a LOUD! recorded voice says "POWER ON! CHANNEL 16!" This is so annoying an unnecessary. If you are in public it's very disrupting. And then every button you push it makes a really loud BEEP! to confirm the button push. It's all just very unnecessary and annoying. (And my dog is averse to loud beeps. I don't want ANY BEEPS, I just want voices through a radio.) Then, after heading out on our first hike with these, we were out for about 5 minutes and my dog was about 30 feet away, and without me touching anything on the radio hers started beeping and squawking and squelching loudly, freaking her out. Also, the wall charger heated up to unsafe temperatures within 5min of starting to charge the radios. Definitely watch over these as they charge, dont trust them while you are away or sleeping.

For the price the walkie-talkies work great! Very clear, easy to use, and I can talk to the grandkids! Batteries last a long time once charged!
