Honey Meter

This was my first experience with a refractometer when making maple syrup and I found it easier to use and less messy than the hydrometer I used for brewing beer in the past. It worked exactly as described and came perfectly calibrated according to my testing with extra virgin olive oil. I had read a few reviews mentioning the numbers on the scale were difficult to read while others found it easy to read; I did not experience any difficulty and found the size of the numbers acceptable. The size of the instrument is about what I expected, not finding it too large or too small. Overall it was well worth the money and my maple syrup turned out perfectly.

The refractometer helped immensely and was very user friendly. Just a couple of drops of honey was needed to tell the water content, and the reading was easily determined.

I am new to bee keeping & this tool was very helpful in my extraction process. Sometimes honey frames are not yet capped but the honey is “ready” others still need time. Very helpful in knowing which frames to return to the hive to extract later. Reasonable price. Would recommend & very easy to use

This Refractometer is easy to use, and once you put the drop of honey on the glass it is very clear to read. Shipping was great and it comes in a nice case.
