Yummy
We love spicy rice cakes, and these are some of the tastiest ones we have had. Very easy to prepare as well. Great snack, side dish, or even meal with a few add ons.

Good flavor.
The flavor is awsome. Wish this was more available. And on prime.

Not a good taste
This was my first time trying rice cakes. I was excited to try them because I had seen a Mukbang channel on YouTube eating spicy rice cakes, and she made them look so yummy. I just had to try some for myself. Absolutely, not impressed with the taste. If I had to describe the taste, I'd say it taste like Chef Boyardee only sweeter and spicy, but not very spicy. The texture is chewy and gummy.

Tasty but Comes Inside a Packaging with Super Strong Plastic Smell
So I got 2 packs and the 1st time cooking it, I put in way more water than the instruction said because I thought it was a typo. It was not a typo. The sauce is very watery, so you only need a tiny amount of water. You cook the rice cakes in in the tiny amount of water as called for in the instruction plus the sauce until the rice cakes have softened. The sauce tastes yummy, if a bit overly sweet. It was not spicy at all to me but my tolerance for spiciness is pretty high, i.e., the taste buds are clapped out from abuse. The rice cakes are chewy exactly like they should be. Although tasty, I do not plan to reorder because when you first open the package, the most potent plastic odor is released. The 1st time, I dismissed the odor hoping that maybe I imagined it, until I opened the 2d package a few days later, and the odor hit me in the face as soon as I opened the plastic bag. Oddly, none of the contents and not even the plastic packaging itself smells like that gas released from inside the packaging. Presumably it is a gas intended to preserve the contents, but I have never smelled anything like it when opening other packaged foods, and is so strong as to put me off an otherwise fine product.

I liked it, but it wasn't very spicy
I'd suggest you add more water than 100ml.The flavor was good, but wasn't as spicy as I had hoped for. It is kinda of a mild heat. The sweetness is there and it has the bouncy chewy texture I expect from rice cake. A decent way to get your fix.The directions are very simple. And it came together fairly quickly.I did dress up my portion with add-ons like soft-boiled egg, green onion and sesame seeds.

Yummy
Really good if you have never had YoPokki! I was a little iffy on getting this but it was surprisingly very easy to make, tasty, and even had an actual spicy kick to it. Would order again.

Don't microwave!
I'm not sure if there was something wrong with my mircowave (probably not), but I could not get the rice cake to cook properly although I followed the microwave directions and I ended up dumping the rubbery things that resulted. I tried adding more hot water and heating the second serving longer in the microwave, but that just made the rice cakes slimier on the outside and harder on the inside. The sauce was at least tasty, so it's unfortunate I tried to microwave both servings in the package.
