I have had this installed for 5 years and its still going strong. The included power supply is also still being used no issues at all.Performance is great it really illuminates the area at night

Despite good and bad reviews I went with this IR Illuminator. I have been very pleased as the distance I needed to illuminate was well beyond the limited range of the camera IR lights. My experience was positive, the light was wide enough for my usage and extended out to beyond 100 feet. I have only been using this three days but my experience has been positive.I did not use the included power supply as I had to mount the illuminator a fair distance from the power supply. I ran a two conductor wire of a larger gauge (Cable Matters) to the light to minimize any potential voltage loss. I also used a more powerful power supply as the distance involved was beyond normal. I had the impression that the included voltage supply and any pre-made two conductor wire was not up to the job. Water resistance seems to be adequate. We had a very serious rain storm last night and everything continues to work properly even though the illuminator is not in a protected area..

These lights work really well. I bought and installed three units. Probably could have got by with just two units. I have about 60 feet from the camera position to the street and much of that distance is driveway. Without the lights, the camera IR did not light up my vehicles. I could just barely see past the front bumper of the truck and the car behind it was completely invisible. With these lights, I can see everything out to and including the street and my neighbor's front yard - it's like daylight out there. In fact, with no white lights from the house on, I can't see much out the window - outlines mainly, but with these IR units, everything is lit up. I'll be buying more for the other parts of the yard. And with all that light, it's still just 36 watts - amazing. I'll update after the winter - longevity still has to be proven. To mount these and get the perfect angle, I used Neewer tripod ball heads. Die IR Lampe ist, mit der IP Kamera gesehen, sehr hell. Im Nahbereich fast zu hell. Ich würde mir heute die nächst kleiner nehmen oder sie etwas entfernter montieren. In jedem Fall tut sie, was sie soll und wir sind sehr zufrieden
