This entire series is perfect for younger children. My little boy struggles with his speech so the fact that the stories are short, are about animals he loves and rhyming, are really gripping for him. Also, what child doesn’t love a lift the flap book!

My toddler absolutely loves this book along with most others in the Acorn Wood series. Nice and easy to read and the flaps as with the other books provide her with interactive involvement. This series has definitely aided her vocabulary. Will definitely recommend on :)

I love these little books for my little one, but some of them are not particularly good for rhyming and this is one of them.I would say cats cookbook is the best of the collection (lol this is my life now, judging the rhyming merits of baby books, when did that happen) - this one is one of the weaker ones. The books are still better than most on the market and are sturdy, easy to wipe clean and fun to read with their ‘open and see’ sections but the author really could have done better with the wording, it’s like a GCSE attempt at writing a rhyming poem in some points.That being said the illustrations are lovely and you can go through pointing out all the different images on the page which is great and very intricate!

When I bought them, there was a deal – buy four and save money – and they were already discounted, which was a bonus.If you’re reading for the first time, just a heads-up – there’s a flap on one of the pages with every turn. Don’t miss it – they’re well stuck down!Great books and worth every penny!
