With the high price of buying frozen meals, and the lack of many of my favorites in grocery stores, I plan to put together some delicious meals and freeze them at home.I like the convenience of ready made dinners . Over the years I have found Taste of Home cook books are a good source to find proven recipes with ingredients that are available in any grocery store. Plus, I can avoid additives or undesirable meat products that may be present in prepackaged dinners.The colorful book has pictures and easy to follow directions. This book is not offered on kindle.

I expected that the freezer recipes would be written to make multiple servings for the freezer, but they are written as if you're going to spend the time to make just one.Yes, I realize I can scale the recipes up on my own, but who wants to do that? The assumption for freezer cooking should be that the person is trying to save time, and the recipes should be scaled in that way.

Purchased as my husband and I are trying to pre-prepare meals to help with costs, and eat a little more health-consciously, and to try a few things out to make ahead and freeze once our life is consumed with taking care of a new born. The basic recipes are pretty good and can be tweaked a little if you need depending on taste and preference. Has been really helpful for doing lunches for the week, or meals with some left overs. There's only two of us so we find that we are able to get a couple of meals from these usually.

I ordered it because it was to be delivered for Valentines Day. Then notice later saying between Feb 17-24th. Way too long. The book is good though.

I read this book at library and found it so useful that I bought my own. Recipes good and the book is sturdy and although not a spiral, it does open well and stays open to use.

With me going back to school and working, I needed meals to prep early for my family to make while I was gone. So far everything we have made from this book, has been really good. It is my go to book!

I wanted a book about making meals from scratch and then freezing them. This is more of a regular cook book with freezing as an after-thought. Not much information as to what freezes well and what doesn’t. And, it relies heavily on junk food ingredients such as condensed soups and “food products” like Velveeta cheese. Yuck!

Has a lot of interesting recipes and there’s a huge variety in what you get. Very happy with the purchase.
