Works great but hoping for better battery life.
I bought this as a replacement. I have one that bought elsewhere in 2018 and have loved having it. Used it through 3 seasons and it still has the original cartridge. The problem is that it no longer holds a charge over one day, whether it is used or not. Went ahead and bought a new one with a fresh battery. I hope it lasts longer than my previous Wind Scout.

Nice idea, but the smoke is barely visible. Ok for hunting but not great for finding air leaks.
I'd be better off with just blowing from a vaping stick. This device puffs out a little bit of smoke, which is difficult to see. I bought this to find air leaks in my house. It's not great for that purpose.

confusing
Instructions say to charge the battery cylinder using usb - included. Problems arise when I take the cap off and the cylinder is in the rubber container and is not accessible. Returned it as damaged and requested a replacement- same thing. So now is it me? and I just know what I'm doing- take the cap off and find a hole - and shake the container and there's something in there but no way to get it out. So it left me very frustrated and now returning the 2nd one and looking elsewhere for a product like that one.

Trash. Just buy a standard wind checker.
Said it all in the title. This thing is a worthless waste of time and money. Just buy a normal wind checker(tube of chalk). Then you don't have to worry about buying the proprietary chalk cartridges or charging a battery.
