Absolutely beautiful. Perfect size/shape for actual functional eating (not too big nor too small, not too thick nor too thin). Because I use them super-often for regular meals, they gradually become a mat-finish (like any food-ware made of wood). They are absolutely lovely all ways. & I periodically oil them w/ sesame oil, after washing/drying, to let it soak in.Update: I love mine so much, I bought another set! I gifted these to a couple friends. One friend enjoys the set because she feels more meditative while she eats. The other loves them because he feels extra-nourished, using such special utensils. Each set is somewhat unique (they aren't identical; tho' match well); all are lovely.p.s.~ apparently this is a small family business (father/mother/daughter) who makes them. Because they are a small biz, they may not have as many reviews as other products; so if you love them, please do leave a review so they can keep selling on amazon! (I hope to buy more in the future).update: now I have bought yet another set, so I have a more complete home set. Still so beautiful! I love how they come packed & sweetly tied together in pairs, w/ pretty string. I can feel the care put into making them. beautiful!Update (years later :) ~ The seller & product have done *Awesome-ness*, again! I continue to love the sets I bought, years back (still in lovely shape, with regular use). I also lost a couple spoons recently... while noticing I use the spoons more than the forks. I contacted seller to see if they could specially send me 4 new spoons (instead of 2 spoons/2 forks), & they said yes! So I placed new order, & now have 4 new beautiful wood spoons to join the sets I bought previously... The flatware is still beautiful, perfectly shaped, & delicious to use. Thank you.

I spent a good deal of time looking for the right size of spoons and forks for regular eating. I am quite surprised and pleased with these utensils. They are very well hand made and it is a pleasure to hold in the hand and eat with them. The fork tines have a great thickness to them, not too thin, not too thick. The fork eating tines are a bit on the flat side to add rigidity I may guess, so it may take some practice to get used to eating with them. But they feel sturdy. The spoon is just awesome, fantastic size and shape. I'll be ordering more for sure. The seller could improve using more sustainable packaing, but I understand it could add cost. Overall, I'm quite happy, a great purchase I'd recommend.

The fork and spoon seemed like a very nice product at first. After several uses and hand washes, a split in the wood of the fork was very noticeable. (see pic) My guess is that the split was filled with a glue or some kind of filler that came out after several hand washes. After seeing the split in the fork, I examined the spoons closely and it appeared that a piece of one of the spoons had split or cracked and had been glued back together. I do not consider this safe for food/mouth contact since wooden utensils need to be smooth and intact so that germs don't have a place to grow. I reported a problem. I have not heard back from anyone.

Beautifully made, high quality set. They are very light weight, yet sturdy. Fork is nice and sharp which is often hard to find with wooden utensils. Gracefully designed handle that balances in the hand easily. Nice deep rosewood color, warmer than the picture depicts. Thank you.

These spoons and forks are beautiful, and did not have any obvious physical imperfections, despite them being apparently hand-carved. The handles of each are mostly round in cross section, and are therefore harder to hold than normally shaped flatware. The finish is highly glossy varnish? We'll see how these hold up to a lot of warm water washing!

Love the feel and color of this set! It feels like quality work and I absolutely love eating with them. Perfect for a healthy and eco lifestyle - it just feels more natural using these as opposed to metal. I've had bamboo spoons before and they were a lot rougher - these ones feel smooth and they're easy to clean. I also use these as my travel set as they are lightweight. I would definitely buy them as gifts for friends and family!

i love using it because it's quiet, easy to wash and easy to take with me anywhere. a great alternative to plastic ware that we discard and litter the earth with so much plastic. i've given some as gifts because i've gotten so many compliments from them. most of all, they don't come with the knife as a set!
