These were bought to replace similar straps that lasted me for ten years, and these ones feel even better quality. The webbing is thick enough to make it easy to feed through the clip, not like cheaper versions which can curl up at the ends, and the spring clips have enough clearance when you open them to make it even easier. Used them for the first time today; two straps were used to tie down two paddleboards stacked on top of a van. I did between 30 and 50mph and there was no movement in the straps or the boards.

The straps are brilliant. I have never had roof bars on any of my cars and this weekend was the first time I used them. I was carrying a Kayak and the Bison straps were used to lash the Kayak to the roof bars. As this was my fist time I was a little nervous, but the Bison straps were really easy to use and held the Kayak firmly in place, which made me feel a lot better. I had the Kayak on my roof overnight and when I checked in the morning they were still just as tight as when I first put the boat on my roof. The journey was only 20 miles or so, mostly on A roads doing 60/70 MPH and the Kayak didn't move at all. Then we we arrived at the river the straps were just as early to remove as they were to attach. Great value for money and highly recommended.

My order for a twin pack of 500kg/4m tie-down straps arrived in under 24 hours, in a well protected, compact package. I chose Bisongear straps after careful consideration of alternative manufacturers. I used the straps immediately and was impressed by the quality of materials used - the strap feel comfortable to handle and the buckle appears strong and durable. The straps have TUV/GS certification and comply with standard EN12195-2:2001. That is a big selling point for me as I would not like to trust my safety or valuables to poor quality goods. The manufacturer also offers a Lifetime Warranty which is a great bonus. Finally, I discovered my order also contained a card offering me a second set of straps for free. I thought this was too good to be true but after sending my request the free set arrived within 3 days. Overall, a very pleased customer and looking forward to years of use from these belts. On the basis of my experience so far, it would have been foolish to buy any other brand, and I’ll certainly be checking out other Bisongear products in future.

I ordered a car roof bag to travel to France and take extra bits for the kids, on reading the reviews of this bag it stated that buying extra straps was a good idea as the ones provided didn't always fit all models os cars. Searching through online for a decent strap there were many options, but when I saw the Bison Gear pair, I was sold. When they arrived I wasn't disappointed! they are great quality and do exactly what I want plus a whole load of other stuff I'm now discovering I can use them with! Thanks a bunch team!! These Bison Gear straps are very impressive. The clamp part stays locked where you set it. I drove cross country taking the long scenic route using the straps to tie down my grear to the top of mybtruck, so I was on the road for a month and these straps went through heavy winds, freezing winds, sand, sun, hot weather, rain. Never did they loosen or rip or fray. There is a reason why they guarantee these for life. Super great product!!

These hold down things well, but they are extremely long. Be prepared to cut them - otherwise they're great.

I've had these over a year now. I just used them again over the weekend to haul some items in the back of my truck. They are still awesome, easy to use and stay secure. They are much better than just rope because will lock in place when you tighten down on strap. Well worth it and easy to store in vehicle.

Very tough, perfect length, pulls TIGHT and doesn't let go. Holds kayaks in place without concern. Actually, I was afraid they may warp the plastic! No concerns.
